 I wouldn't be surprised if the opposite happened, which the brightness dropping to prevent overheating after a while, but this makes no sense. It happens even if I am not touching it, so it's not a switch or contact issue (the switch feels good and I never have weird behavior when intentionally switching modes). I had it sitting on the edge of the table in a low mode to illuminate something I was working on, and then BOOM it goes up. It's really bad when I am trying to use it at low power for looking at stuff up close and it flashes my eyeballs

 First of all, Manker has quickly become one of my favorite flashlight makers, I own more Manker than I do Nitecore, Lumintop, Olight, etc and their build quality, features, and value are among the best out there. In the neutral warm tint, its got really nice color reproduction, but its not too amber or yellowish like some Neutral whites can be. If you are comparing this to other 2 AA lights like the Nitecore MT2A basically it boils down to this. The Manker is technically brighter, but the Nitecore has a further throw (about 50% more)

 Can you see here now with that kind of moderate distance? Moving out to about 80 yards, perhaps a bit more, the q8 is moving from this sort of um out and out flooding entire beam and, as i increase the distance versus the the sp 36, the 36, even though it's a lower out lower output, this is due To the the smooth reflector, the 36 they're starting to outperform - and let me go it's about that's well over 100 now there. Let me go to non-turbo q8 pro, it's doing it, but i think that's kind of getting towards the limit of the non-turbo turbo non-turbo. 36. Non-Turbo turbo, the 36 has by significant margin, got the q8 pro and the distance hasn't it uh, whereas in the spot, where we were previously just watching my dog there, it's getting his feet wrapped up around my tripod

 Let me swap over, i need three hands for this. Really, don't i there's our 36 make sure i'm on turbo there we go. Those rings are a little bit more pronounced now, but you can see he's getting a little bit more into the distance and again having a kind of look around.
