 I wouldn't be surprised if the opposite happened, which the brightness dropping to prevent overheating after a while, but this makes no sense. It happens even if I am not touching it, so it's not a switch or contact issue (the switch feels good and I never have weird behavior when intentionally switching modes). I had it sitting on the edge of the table in a low mode to illuminate something I was working on, and then BOOM it goes up. It's really bad when I am trying to use it at low power for looking at stuff up close and it flashes my eyeballs

 First of all, Manker has quickly become one of my favorite flashlight makers, I own more Manker than I do Nitecore, Lumintop, Olight, etc and their build quality, features, and value are among the best out there. In the neutral warm tint, its got really nice color reproduction, but its not too amber or yellowish like some Neutral whites can be. If you are comparing this to other 2 AA lights like the Nitecore MT2A basically it boils down to this. The Manker is technically brighter, but the Nitecore has a further throw (about 50% more)

Sofirn IF25A

 I really like mine, it’s extremely nice with the 4000K emitters and has a great beam that doesn’t have any noticeable hot spots while still being quite throwey. I put the clip from my Wurkkos HD20 on it and it works perfectly.

I think I know the answer im going to get but which one and why ? The sofirn is about 1/2 the cost which seems appealing to me. I am leaning towards the 2700k sst20 D4V2.

 So you can have it set as that. But like i say, or you can delve right into it, it has a really nice battery, nice and powerful. Let me just find these specs on it quickly for you, okay, so it has a 4 000 milliamp hour battery, so this is going to last a long time and it's rechargeable very neat. This is suitable for people that work on search and rescue emergency services, people that want to walk their dog people that want a tactical torch to have on them when they walk into their car at night

 I had to run under a tap to get all the mud off it um. I really have been testing it out while i've been camping, so it's suitable for pretty much everybody and it's, but to last so i'm really impressed and for the price. It is honestly, it really is well, i i think it exceeds some of the more expensive branded torches. Sofirn IF25A review and test

 Only had about 5 recharges on the flashlight before it started making its own decisions to power off. Intermittently the light will dim and brighten or shutoff completely and sometimes will not turn back on without banging it on my hand repeatedly. Had an Emisar D4 as my worklight previously that made it about 4 years before the switch fell apart. This light is bright with a good color temp (4000k) and the 21600 is a nice form factor but not as reliable as I hoped

Faulty after 2 months

  I'm glad they went with a 21700 battery on this. The extra capacity helps with runtime on a quad-LED hotrod such as this.  Some people have complained about the heatsink machining, that the edges are too sharp. They seem fine to me

 They are not rounded or beveled, but I would not have noticed unless others had mentioned it. The overall build quality is excellent. It feels really solid in your hand. The side switch has a good feel, and yes the LEDs in the switch do function as aux LEDs
