Excellent lens. Coming from Canon L lenses and Nikon lenses, I am very pleased with the build quality and sharpness of this lens. Optically I have no complaints. It is sharp at all zoom ranges

The 32mm is great for headshots and some pseudo macro photography and the image quality is comparable to my most expensive Sony lenses worth four times more.

It's not a lot, but since the zoom ring is stiff turning the zoom ring would slightly rotate the entire lens a tiny bit. The focus distance window also seems to be completely inaccurate - I was photographing a deer about 30-40ft away, but the window was stating it was 100ft away. The soft bag it comes with protects the lens somewhat, but is more flexible than the stock Nikon bags, and that makes it more difficult to stuff the lens back in since it keeps collapsing and folding over itself. Lastly, the wide angle lock switch seems somewhat unnecessary, as the zoom ring already functions as a lens lock if you push it forward, while the switch only works at 150mm

Bring a tripod for when you need to rest your poor arms. This beast is heavy but not terribly. It wasn't so bad for me since I was used to the 80-200mm which weighs in about 3.5lbs but *if* you haven't used a heavy lens before be prepared for some adjustments
