 I ordered the "Clicky" (satisfying click) blue switches, a decision I do not regret but one I thought would be more satisfying. The low profile keys, short stroke and lackluster click add up to a less than stellar typing feel. My generic mechanical keyboard from 5 years ago still clicks the crap out of this MX, talk about satisfying. I was hoping this keyboard would solve the multiple keyboard workspace issue I have but after plugging in the wireless MX and putting it through it's paces, I never ended up unplugging "Old Clunky"

 However, since I have had 4 devices hooked up (Mac Mini, Mac Book Pro, iPad and Win 10 PC) I would like to have 1 more slot for immediate usage. To be fair, the ability to drop / add a new device on the fly is so easy that 3 slots is more than reasonable. So as far as hitting all the bullet points on the product description list, the Wireless MX Mechanical keyboard does so in dependable Logitech fashion.  While the basics are met, there were some expectations that were not

  I totally dislike some of the keyboard layout. Specifically: 1. Lack of spacing between Function key groups. On a full-sized normal keyboard, there is extra space between F4 and F5, and again between F8 and F9

So far this keyboard has been working pretty well. I got the title version and feels really nice to type on. I will say that the back light sometimes doesn’t come on when I hover my hands on top of it but that’s really not a problem. I think you could keep them on permanently in the settings haven’t really had no connection problems and so far other than the backlight works good battery life is super long and sometimes I forget I have to charge it other than that pretty good

 And that's because this is a very affordable alternative and yet appears to offer a number of really nice highlights to it. Has a nice looking design to it, for example, as you can see straight away, also has a really solid, aluminium finish on it and a nice setup that includes a choice of gastron, reds, browns or blues, which is the low profile design. The reason i wanted a low profile keyboard is the same reason. I wanted it on the gina 150 kl that low profile design sits really low to the desk, which makes it comfortable to use also with the getter on red switches that i'll be showing off

In this unboxing video, very quiet and comfortable, there are, however, some complaints that i'll talk to a bit about later on, but this is an interesting device nonetheless, especially for the price. So this is an unboxing video, i'm going to be showing you what you get in the box, which is obviously the keyboard, the usbc cable, some keycaps and a keycap puller as well

 Now it's worth noting that this is sort of pitched as being compatible with all devices. It'S designed to work with both windows and mac, but also said to work on android as well, i'm using it on windows, pc and you have the keycaps included in the box to switch between the mac sort of layout and pc layout. So it's quite nice, as well as a couple of other choices, for example the escape key and the lighting key. You can swap out for these orange keys, which i think gives a nice accent to it

 I've considered using the K1 with the cable instead as it also goes to sleep every few minutes and takes some time to reconnect. Backlighting for the MX Keys is ok with it automatically enabling when it's dark, however, it doesn't work all the time.

I got the Logitech MX Keys and the Keychron K1 and I'm having some trouble with deciding which one to keep.

I'm mainly used to membrane keyboards so I didn't like the K1 when I got it, still a bit weird to type on it, however, I do really like it's slim low profile design. I'm fine with the MX Keys, however, since it has a numpad, the home row isn't centered with the monitor on my desk. (I don't have much space to move over my mouse either, though I could get used to adjusting the keyboard position every now and then.) For this reason, I am still considering the K1.

Regarding the K1, I got it with the red switches and personally I feel like the keys are too easy to press. I make a lot of mistakes typing, but I put this off to the fact that it's my first mechanical keyboard. Like I said above, I like this keyboard because its smaller and such.

Connectivity on both is wireless; I like the MX Keys a bit better with it instantly connecting to the adapter thing meanwhile the K1 takes a few seconds to connect via bluetooth. Help, I've fallen in to the dark underworld of mechanical keyboards! 

I just wanted a decent keyboard, not a new hobby but it may be too late for me. Contrary to many folks here I absolutely abhor loud keyboards, doubly so if I'm not the one typing, and I discovered the Boba U4 Silent Tactile Switch. This switch seems firmly in the enthusiast space with no prebuilt keyboards using them. I'm now looking to build a reasonably priced custom keyboard.

I don't mind assembling my keyboard, even if that means lubing switches and all that. I am just still at a loss for what to buy beside these wonderfully quiet tactile switches. 

I'm pretty sure I want a 75% or TKL but I use the home cluster quite a bit and it isn't yet clear how I access the missing keys on a 75% or if that is a good compromise. When I work from home I spend a lot of time writing code and administrating remote linux servers via cli. The home cluster is quite handy for that. I also would really love to have some sort of rotary encoder to adjust volume. I could live without but I would miss it. I don't really care about RGB but a backlight of some sort would be nice. I can live without wireless but it might be added value if all else is equal. I also do quite a bit of video and photo editing if that changes recommendations. I'm guessing I want something that is plate mounted for structural integrity. The Keychron Q1 seems like a good contender if I can figure out how to access my missing home cluster keys efficiently. What other keyboards, kits or barebones, should I consider? Is there anything similar in TKL?

Stabs? I know I want a quiet keyboard and I will need decent stabs for this. Where do I start? I really have no idea.

Key caps: It seems like this should be easy for TKL but harder to find for 75% layouts. I would something with a drier feels that offers a little grip. PBT seems to fit this description. Shine through legends would be nice but are not a requirement. The most important thing is to have the important secondary functions visible, especially if I go with 75% and need to learn a new layout.

i want to build my first custom keyboard and decided to go with the Katana60 v2. Sadly I just found one vendor who offers this PCB.  
As far as I see is, that I need to solder the switches in the PCB. My problem is, that I can't exchange the switches without desoldering (which is as I heard so far pain). I also watched a video with a 'presoldered' PCB.. so that you just need to 'connect' the switches to it and can exchange them at any time.

Is there a Katana 60 PCB presoldered or a way I can achieve it so I can exchange switches easily?

Anyone know of any keyboard that uses optical switches other than ones made by Razer?  Not that I'm opposed to a Razer keyboard, just want more options.
