Impressive but I narrowly prefer Apple's own keyboard for use with my MacBook Pro

The Apple is just a little bit bette, just a little bit easier to type on. There is a little more resistance with the Logitech. My fingers glide across the keys of the Apple keyboard as I type. They've always had something like the K350 that was sort of a warped or stretched layout but wasn't much different from a normal, if a bit distorted layout. And that one always seemed a bit cheap and clunky. I think it's safe to say the K860 finally fills that gap. And so far it seems to be doing it well

Not so worthy successor

The very first impression is positive, it has a good overall feel to it. l it looks good (important to me in my home studio where the look is a big thing). It feels solid, no plasticky and the keys seem to be well positioned and ergonomic.

Anyway, I unbox, and it's great. Nice and heavy coupled with the rubber feet has it sitting strong and tall on my desk. I'm excited. I get it hooked up and immediately start working on playing with the dial

* I am used to low profile keyboards so choc switches would be my preferred choice to reduce the travel distance. * Layout I was aiming for was Lily58 or Sofle but kind of want a stronger column stagger and at least a 3 button thumb cluster.

Logitech Ergo K860 Review

For me, I suspect that perception stemmed largely from the fact that I needed more space on either side since my arms would approach the board at an angle, rather than straight on.

I am a software engineer and i type alot and care about my function keys. The function keys bar is very difficult to use because there is no space between button groups (most keyboards have space between F4 and F5 and F8 and F9). The function keys are clearly intended to be used as media keys. This keyboard is not for coders and not for gamers

Hey guys my mom has arthritis but uses a keyboard all day at work. Her birthday is coming up and I wanted to get her a split keyboard for around $150. I know nothing about keybs, could I get some recommendations please? Thanks!

The Microsoft Sculpt in particular has the numpad on a separate keypad so you can get the mouse closer and use it as a TKL most of the time (or use it as a left-hander).

Backlight

Some glitches but overall decent.

1) Keyboard backlight randomly resets itself so if you like it a certain brightness you will randomly come back and have to figure out where that was. Doesn't seem to fall in line with charging, power cycling, device switching, or anything like that. Just randomly resets to a medium-low level. 2) If you switch devices, and you don't wait whatever unknown period of time it takes for it to finish syncing back to that other device and you press any key, it will often get stuck sending that keystroke non-stop until you power cycle the keyboard

Solid keyboard for serious computer work. Just wish it was backlit.

Deceptively Solid and Weighty

This is clearly a case of 'you get what you pay for' where spending a little extra is totally worth it.

Really nice action but the layout is a bit too tight

Not a big deal but i forget * I'm not sure the price justifies all the above. I'm not going to return this any time soon, but the next time i get a keyboard i'm going to pay a lot closer attention to the above preferences.
