Logitech M720 Triathlon vs Glorious Model O

So i have been using this mouse for about a week and half and I have very few complaints. It really is a top tier mouse for the money. The scroll wheel feels so nice and clicks are nice and crisp. The build is fantastic for a 60 dollar mouse and of course you get that rgb which is always a plus

Whenever I lift up my mouse, there is a slight breeze of air that cools my sweaty hands, which feels satisfying. The shape of the mouse is perfect. I have medium-sized hands, and this mouse feels comfortable and perfect. I can easily palm grip this mouse comfortably

Other than this I love the feel and the features. Keeping it since I worked around it fine.

**Shape/Coating:** The shape of this mouse is low at the front while relatively flat which then dips in the middle and has an extended lower back. The Model O is typically compared to the FK series of Zowie mice. The mouse shares a matte coating across the whole body ignoring side buttons and DPI switch which are both coated glossy

I subtracted one star because of false production information in the amazon listing. The product description says "2 AA batteries required" (see attached image), but that's not true. It uses only 1 AA battery. I picked this mouse specifically for its claim of requiring "2 AA batteries" because I like my mouse to have some weight to it

And lastly they're both too light. My Viper Ultimate is actually scuffed on one side and good on the other but it's still too light

This fits the bill. The selector button was fine. Both Mac and Windows saw the mouse without any issues and i didn't have to (nor did I want to) install the software. It's a bit small but it will do

Firmware: Changing the DPI is actually _really_ intuitive, although you can't really do it on the fly as it involves lifting the mouse off the pad, holding down both mouse buttons until you see the cursor bounce, then using L/R to adjust the DPI (which causes the cursor to bounce to indicate what DPI your at in multiples of 100), then lifting the mouse and holding both buttons again until the cursor bounces N times, where N is your chosen DPI / 100.

Paired with a three device keyboard I can move swiftly between my three principal work machines without stopping. Good battery life. Fair ergonomics. But I would recommend a travel case if you plan to take the M720 Triathlon on the road

Edit 2: With the led’s at 100% on a single color it lasted around 15 hours before the lights turned off and scroll wheel flashing red to indicate low battery. I never felt any loss of performance as the battery drained to this point with 6% charge left.

The mouse feels great in my hand and works very well. I wish I could use the second and third blue tooth button options to allow them to be assigned to the same computer, but it will not allow you to do that. My MX Keys keyboard allows me to do this, but not this mouse. Otherwise, this mouse is excellent so far

+Middle click on the mouse-wheel works great without lurching the wheel around like other mice I've used recently -cough-EVGA-cough- Cons: -Sized awkwardly, the way the grip is designed it encourages your fingers toward the middle of the mouse instead of straight forward. Main clicking finger will wander to the side of the scroll wheel. -The back-button is placed exactly where I place my thumb for claw grip so it gets hit accidentally pretty regularly. -Texture on the side is a bit smooth, meaning you will need to grip tighter that you would expect

The M720 Triathlon Mouse has Logitech's Advanced Optical Tracking, with a laser-sensor resolution of 1,000dpi. This feature boasts "ultra precise" tracking on "almost" any surface. In our experience, we had no issues, whether it was on a wooden table, a piece of paper, or even the fabric of a pants leg.

The sensor being used in the MOW is Glorious’ own proprietary sensor, with the name BAMF. It’s meant to be similar to the PixArt 3370 sensor, however I’m not 100% sure. Personally I've had no big issues with this sensor: no noticeable input lag, tracking felt accurate to my hand movement, no spinouts on any of my pads. I’ve noticed some angle snapping though, also seen complaints of it spinning out on the Ice pad and MP510

The mouse itself is rather big, but that works well with my long hands. The buttons on the mouse and features that are available in the Logitech app are great.

I think if your hands are slightly smaller than mine (1-2cm) you’ll like this mouse a lot. Finger positioning is good (two-three, two-two might be a little uncomfortable). Keep in mind I did not use the original Xornet or Spawn so I cannot provide a point of reference from there.

This mouse is the right fit and weight. It has so many features and was very easy to set up via bluetooth with my PC's. So many things you can program in this mouse.

This is where my positivity ends. My issue with the MZ1 starts with the right side of the mouse. Unlike the generous comfort grooves on the left and front of the mouse, the right side is straight. This isn’t a problem in relaxed fingertip grip where your ring and pinky finger are either straight or in the areas where there are no mouse holes

My only gripe is lack of DPI settings. Considering this contains almost al the features of MX series along with an ergonomic geometry, I can see where Logitech compromised and that is the laser detection. Don't get me wrong, the sensitivity is great for office users and light photoshop however you feel the lack of accurate laser detection while gaming and detailed graphic work. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for anyone as long as this is not your tool for gaming

**con:** The big con for me was that this mouse has a dpi deviation of around 20% at 800dpi in the software for me. You can work around this problem and set the dpi down to 750dpi in the software to achieve a deviation of around 3%. I have tried an unofficial firmware update to the version V1104 which got me to a dpi deviation of 8%.
