The Razer Orochi V2 is such a fun mouse that exceeded my expectations (Review)

While it's been billed at as an egg shaped mouse, the Orochi is distinct that it chooses a shorter length and distinct asymmetrical curves. The left side of the mouse offers a countered groove to place your thumb which gives better control while holding the mouse. This mean's its not perfectly ambi but for right handed users I think that's a plus. The design looks minimal and it's just a great looking mouse in even its stock form

Good mouse that didn't last that long and suspicious design

Bought it on February 25, 2017, and after 18 months of usage the mouse starting having the "double-click" problem caused by a tiny piece of metal spring inside of the left microswitch losing its elasticity around July 2018. I fixed it once, by that didn't last for even 1 month before the problem starts again. I feel this is purposely done by design so the manufacturer is able to control the product's lifespan --- the left mouse key is useless now while the rest of the parts are still in good condition thus force the consumers to buy a new mouse. anyway, it is a GOOD mouse for its price when I first bought it for 40 bucks, then I found this mouse's price had risen to a ridiculously 399 USD, WTH is going on??? unless your cup of tea is a 399 USD dollar mouse that only lasts you 18 months, I do not recommend this product

Initial Impressions of the Razer Orochi V2 after a couple hours of gameplay

The [ ]([URL REMOVED] V2 has picked up quite a bit of hype since it's announcement as it fills an important niche of being both wireless and a smaller egg shape. While the marketing behind the mouse has made it unclear if this mouse is intended for laptop gaming due to its replaceable battery and small size, I'm happy to report that it functions quite well right out the box and should meet the standards of even the most hardcore gamers. I got my white copy of the Orochi V2 in today and have gamed with it for a few hours.

This should not work for me

I have a Zowie FK2 as well, but that mouse is very "meh" or unexciting. The G303 is different. It's the mouse I want to use. I also like that it does a lot more than the FK2 - it has software, it has an extra button, it can be calibrated to different surfaces, and it has LED lighting

Precise, Lightweight - great for work and play

I will say though, that my hand is medium sized so the comfort that I am experiencing might not be the same for someone with larger hands. I've read reviews that people with larger hands might find this mouse too small.

Kind of small but not too noticeable

Overall, amazing, my only issue is the size. My ring finger grips the lowest part on the right side, and my pinky somewhat drags along the mousepad. Not terrible, but it happens.

Dpi Settings

Perfect for first time gaming mouse purchases

Prior to buying this mouse I was using a mouse I bought at Goodwill that was super old and didn't really offer good dpi settings, so this mouse was an extreme improvement in terms of allowing me to refine my movements much more and was a big help in aim. Of course this mouse won't magically improve your gameplay but it will smooth things out for you and be a good help. Recommend for someone looking for a gaming mouse for the first time.

Great mouse, lacking slightly in the ergonomic comfort department.

The mouse allows you to save 4 different sensitivity levels to choose between on the fly with the DPI button on top of the mouse. Furthermore, you can save multiple profiles to the mouse so it is very customizable. I would have given the mouse a 5 star if the driver software was more accessible and the design was ergonomic enough to allow better reach to the front side button. Still, this is a great mouse for the price range
