Solid replacement for the Razer Naga

I am typically -not- kind to my mice, I have played a lot of MMOs competitively and put the mice through a lot of abuse. Not wanting to pay exorbitant prices for the few Nagas that remained, or take a gamble with any of the refurbished options (which are still more expensive than the original price of the mice going back the past year or so) I decided I'd check out the Logitech G600, it's got decent reviews from more than a few people I trust, and I've been very fond of a set og G35 headphones I have from Logitech, so I figured what the hell, lets give them a shot. I purchased 2 of them, one for work, one for home. I wanted to give the mouse a fair shot and allow my muscle memory to adapt to the size/shape difference between the G600 and the Naga (which, to be sure, the G600 is slightly bigger, and has some differences in the button placement, amount, and mechanical feel when compared to the Naga)

Scroll Wheel

The **Scroll Wheel** feels weird. The texture is great, the increments are great, the click pressure is the best of any mouse I’ve felt as its ever so slightly harder to push down than the one in my Hati-S wired, but upon first impression like there is the tiniest piece of Styrofoam/ cheap plastic bag stuck in there when scrolling slowly. However, after scrolling for ten minutes I have now identified it as feeling and sounding like a very very easy to wind up happy meal toy from the 90s, which you had to wind up and then they’d start moving around on their wheels. At fast scrolling speeds this is not noticeable at all, and putting pressure on it to slightly reposition the wheel also does not have an effect on it

What mouse are you using? Where is it positioned?

I recently made the reluctant switch from the Logitech G600 to the G604 entirely for the frictionless scrollwheel. There's nothing particularly ergonomic about it, and I'm really looking forward to the day that particular patent runs out. Position-wise, though, I have it to the right of a small, single-piece psuedo-split board that's at the very edge of the desk to prevent bad wrist posture from resting on the table.

I can say that for palm posture, the mouse is very comfortable even for extended periods of time, the surface has a very slight texture which I found pleasant and didn't provoke the sweats as some other mice I have used in the past. A surface that is too smooth tends to make my hand surface cling and I personally find that annoying. While one can't adjust the weight of the mouse, I don't consider that a con. I've had mice where I could put in additional weights and personally have never seen any sort of benefit from doing so

Yea I am currently using the G Pro X Superlight right now and I ordered a Vaxee ZYGEN NP-01S this morning. I think it is a good mouse, but it's just a little too big for my preference for gaming and the side buttons are pretty bad imo. Today actually marks 2 months that I stuck with this mouse. I had to give it an honest try

I have actually owned this model for several years. It's states this is a gaming mouse, but I bought it for my work with 3d modeling and other digital content. The size is large enough for my just-over-average hands that it rests comfortably when using it, but not so large that I feel like I have a small pet sleeping on my mouse pad.
