I'm 6'4" and deep in dad bod territory. Most backpacks are not proportional to my torso. I've used a messenger bag for work for some time, but am returning to school this fall and would prefer to go back to backpacking around campus.

Some of the designs from Topo Designs have caught my eye, even if they are marketed as travel bags rather than for daily use (such as [this](https://topodesigns.com/products/convertible-travel-bag-laptop-backpack-30l?variant=40136110899253)). I also need something that can hold a 15 inch laptop.

Suggestions for other brands or models that suit us bigger-bodied folk are appreciated. Or if you have experience with one of these travel bags from Topo. Thanks!

 So I think all of those parts of the backpack are pretty standard with any backpack, especially any commuter backpack. But what I think really makes this backpack stand out and feel good is the way that it holds everything together and the straps the straps on the back.  Let's look at the features. Looking into the features, we start off with the main area of the bag. It has an area for your laptop here with the elastic pouch and then a large inner area. Moving to the forward second pouch, we see a smaller area

TIMBUK2 Parkside Laptop Backpack Review

 It's kind of hard to move about in my daily commute specially Light rail rides can get cramped. This bag is perfect! well almost.. Primary concern was my laptop, fits snugly, another plus is a compartment for tablets

I mitigated this by stuffing a neoprene laptop sleeve in there to minimize the jostling, but I do wish there was a more robust laptop pocket that was built into the bag - particularly since it was advertised as a laptop compartment. It works for light commuting but wouldn't recommend it if you need to walk long distances or intense travel.
