My sixth-grader wanted a basic black backpack that would hold all her books/essentials since they don’t have lockers. She chose this backpack and was excited when it arrived. She immediately filled it with everything she needed for school only to realize she couldn’t zip it closed because the zipper had been sewn to the backpack and could not be moved.

So these ones like I think they were made to allow like more flexibility

 So the difference between the other one in this one is that this one is like least inside so you can put your glasses. like reading glasses. I Have reading glasses or something so it's like missing my school and you know I don't have to like worry about bringing the whole case with me because I know that my glasses won't get scratched because of the material that's inside. So the 2014 the one that I went in 2000 for instance doesn't have that has two water bottle holders I Really like this because sometimes I drink um hot tea and I'll take my little water bottle just come looks like this and for my teeth and then I'll have my water bottle I don't have it with me but you know I'll put it on both sides and so it's a so I'll take this to school and I don't have to worry about the way because it I don't even feel it so and then there's also these like the only healthy HP buckles

North Face Women's Recon Backpack Review

 Okay, i'm looking around making sure we didn't miss anything before we go to the inside of the bag, so yeah, let's, let's continue on to the inside. There is a slash pocket right here that opens up it's very soft kind of felty like material here. It feels almost like a microfiber, but it's fuzzy as well. So it feels nice to the touch

 So that's just one thing to note: there there's a horseshoe zipper here that opens up and that's going to give us access to the inside of the bag here with a small organizer. So i have a pen on this side and then i've just got like my passport and field notes here. The one thing i wanted to show you that's interesting is this pocket here i would typically on pretty much every bag. I'Ve tested there's been enough space here to throw in like a little field, notes, notebook or my passport, but with this it's just slightly too small, so i usually put my notebook next to my pen, but in this case i threw it on this front

 Pull this out. I have a 16 inch macbook pro inside of here, so that fits in with ease i've, seen a lot of reviews that say that the laptop is suspended. The laptop compartment is suspended right, so normally what that does. Is that puts your laptop up here so that if you drop this bag on the ground, that frame sheet is going to hit first and then anything inside of the main compartment? Not not really the case with this, this iteration um, it's elevated a bit and it's separated from this bottom pot part, but i wouldn't really count on that to not slam against the ground

 So it's very slippery, which is great if it's shoved in a bag but even like the slipperiest stuff and smallest stuff can be just cranked in with this compression strap on the side. So i think that's a really nice design. You have this kind of tarpaulin coated material here on the outside and then i'll just show you too, with a hydro flask here this one's a 21 ounce that can fit here on this side as well. So if you have a smaller bottle that goes in, this is kind of the modern water bottle size and you can crank that down too so very nice water bottle, straps or compression straps here to help with the water bottle, and then they can also help with Just if your bag is less full, you can crank this down and continue to give your bag a bit of a lower profile as well, which is nice as far as the anatomy of these straps

The North Face Recon Review (2 Weeks of Use)

 Number 12, dual zippers reveal the laptop compartment at the back. Now unlike the Surge which has three divided areas this only just has one area so you're literally just going to put your laptop in here. I wish it was more like the Surge where it had some dividers where you could put an iPad or your documents or your laptop but this one it's just one. Also on either side of the laptop zipper there is a small accessory reflective strip for you to loop whatever else you want

 So without further ado, let's jump into all of the features. Number one, all of these zippers are YKK. For the laptop and the main compartment, they have zipper pulls that are reminiscent of Osprey zipper pulls. However, they're a little bit small and I wish that they were just a little bit larger

 For me personally I think I prefer the Surge just because it's a little bit bigger and it offers a lot more organizational compartments but that's just me. The Newly Redesigned 2021 North Face Recon! 16 things you need to know!!!

 Hey everyone, it's Desi Cheng, and today we're going to be looking at the newly redesigned 2021

 So at the time of making this video, North Face still has the old version of the Recon

 on their website. When they're going to update it to this new one, I don't know. So last week,

 I went in depth with the newly redesigned North Face Surge, which is the bigger brother to the

 Recon. So make sure you guys watch that. And if you haven't already, make sure you subscribe

 because in the near future, I will be doing a direct comparison between the two bags.

 So without further ado, let's jump into all of the features. Number one, all of these zippers

 are YKK. For the laptop and the main compartment, they have zipper pulls that are reminiscent of

 Osprey zipper pulls. However, they're a little bit small and I wish that they were just a little bit

 larger. Number two, two zippers reveal the front accessory pouch right here. It is nice and deep

 and it goes all the way down right to about right here. At the very back, there is a sleeve for you

 to put thinner items and that is also fairly deep. At the very top right here, there is a zippered

 security pouch if you want to put away some things like money or passport and there is a key leash

 hidden inside. On this one side, there is a fleece lined pocket which is perfect for something like

 sunglasses. There's another pocket right here for thinner items like business cards and there is one

 pen pocket and then further down there are two mesh stash pockets and of course you can just put

 other random things in here as well. Number three, there is a fleece lined pocket which is fairly

 large and expands all the way up to the top right here and to the bottom right about here and this

 is perfect because if you had a small camera such as this one, you can fit it in there no problem.

 Number four, it does have an elastic large stash pocket in the very very front right here and you

 could throw things such as a pair of gloves in there which are nice and easy to access.

 Number five, there are two accessory attachment straps on either side of the front and there's

 actually four connecting points for you to hook on a carabiner or anything like that.

 Number six, the material of the water bottle pockets as well as the bottom of the bag is

 made out of this durable waterproof rubbery type of material which is great because when you want

 to set it down on wet ground you don't have to worry about the bottom of your bag getting wet.

 Number seven, now this is a kind of small feature but for me I think it's a huge feature

 is that the bag stands up on its own. They've redesigned the bottom of the bag so that it's
