My sixth-grader wanted a basic black backpack that would hold all her books/essentials since they don’t have lockers. She chose this backpack and was excited when it arrived. She immediately filled it with everything she needed for school only to realize she couldn’t zip it closed because the zipper had been sewn to the backpack and could not be moved.

I really like the 15L Everyday Zip. I used to have a 20L Everyday Backpack but it’s a bit big especially after I downsized to a mirrorless with two lens set up. 

15” MacBook Pro into 15L Everyday Zip?

 you can latch the straps and then nobody can try and take get your stuff out. Another feature that is included in the Everyday Zip is the maneuverable straps. Just like in the version one and the version two of the Everyday Carry, the straps kind of move around, you know you can get a good good adjustment. You also have the chest strap which I hardly ever use just because it's a personal preference for me

 but the way they've designed this one, you can either do the side access or you can have this big opening pouch. And the way that they did these zippers blows me away because when I first saw this I was like oh so you can unzip this all the way and then all of your stuff is going to dump out. Well the way they have it designed, it kind of like these curved edges. And that's always one thing that I really appreciated about the everyday carry bag is when I was using this bag

 It has this little like secret pocket that you can put stuff in the zip. Like I said before, it just zips all the way down and then you have this nice little hidden pocket where you can put i don't know, your passport, maybe your keys, money and that's not going to be easily accessible for someone to snatch and then you can put. That's another thing that I love about Peak Design is their small details in like security for your bags. you just like in the other versions of this type of bag

 Well the way they have it designed, it kind of like these curved edges. And that's always one thing that I really appreciated about the everyday carry bag is when I was using this bag. The version one I was traveling a lot more than I am now because we were allowed to and I lived in Hawaii and I was, you know, just doing a lot more things. Um, and that's something that I always really appreciated is I could just pop it on the top of my suitcase and then roll everything

 Water bottle pockets, a lot. They are nice and stretchy. They have ample room on the interior and then, if we pull that out, this is kind of where actually those lash straps are so this one's. Just currently, like bundled love, you can just take this out just stretch it across the bag, and then that gives you kind of a lash point

 You kind of need to have a system so right here, we've got a bunch of zippers. Basically, we've got four zippers and our sorry three zippers, and if I just pull that one up, basically the access works as follows. Like you can keep this one down low here and then just open it up and get access to these side pocket that opens up to the interior quite well, and then it's pretty much the same thing on the white version as well. So you got the three zippers and the access works in a very similar way

 So I'm gon na move this one out, although make sure to check out the full review on the bone version over at Packer comm, not sure when exactly we're gon na launch it, but we will be launching it not sure if it'll come after her before we Publish this video so keep an eye out for it or make sure to go check it out at packard.com links in the description below so taking a look at this peak design, everyday zip. This is part of their whole entire refreshed v2 line, and there are basically it's kind of like a pared down version of the everyday backpack. So we have no mag latch here

Peak Design Everyday Backpack Zip 20L & 15L V2 Review (Initial Thoughts)

 If you have a laptop in the bag, it is like having a stiff board against your back. Either way, not comfortable. The laptop area is very small and tight. The small internal pockets in the laptop area are very difficult to access

 I have had it a while now, and it is still not comfortable on the back. If you do not have a laptop in the bag, it is better. If you have a laptop in the bag, it is like having a stiff board against your back. Either way, not comfortable

 You literally have to pry the laptop area open to get to them because the laptop area storage zipper is very short. It would be way better if the zipper encircled the bag more. The backpack is very protective and stiff, but this also makes it difficult to use zippers and open compartments. The side pockets on outside of bag are very tight and hard to access

High quality, but lacks in many areas....

 I would make the size of the bag just a bit smaller for people like me with a smaller frame.

Great backpack/purse

 It started to get just a little bit too bulky, but for the most part I was actually pretty impressed with what I was able to fit. Considering the sleek look of the bag. Continuing on with some of the internal organization on the flaps, there's two simple slip: pockets at the top, each side, kind of has an identical layout and so starting off with the one on the left. Here it has these magnetic closures, which I really like to help keep in the compartment inside and so in this one

 I definitely think that it gives you a lot of versatility and it just makes it a lot easier to use the bag while I'm running around throughout the day and so for the purposes of this walkthrough. I'M gon na go ahead and just open it up completely. So you can get a clearer look at the main compartment, and so I really like that you can open it up this much. So it makes it very easy to just see everything that I have in the bag at once, and the first thing that you'll, probably notice as I open this up, is that I'm actually not using the Flex fold dividers that are so popular in peak designs bag

 Iterations of their bags on the strap there's also an adjustable and removable sternum strap that you can attach with this metallic clip, then it's very easy to adjust. Unfortunately, this sternum strap I've never felt has been very comfortable as far as actually providing too much additional support. It tends to just kind of dig into my shoulders a little bit, so I normally just don't end up using it. I do like, however, that you can kind of attach the clip here, if you don't want it floating around

 The handles are very comfortable to hold and very well built. So, on the side handles you have this very thick seatbelt, like material, that's, very comfortable and then for the handle at the top. It has the same seatbelt like material on the bottom, but along the top. It also has this leather material here to give it just a little bit more of a stylish look on the outside
