More compact than the first 3M Filtrete air purifier I bought, but at a cost, it makes more noise on low speed than my old unit at high speed, and at a higher cost. Disappointed that the first product was discontinued.

I used the purifier to cleanse the air our spare bedroom and I use it to get some cooking odors removed from one particular room. It is easy to use and to change the filter.

Clean air effective, efficient, and inexpensive

I was very surprised at energy consumption: 83 watts on low, and 166 watts on high.  This is DOUBLE the energy consumption of a standard 20" box fan.   On in another way, a 60w LED bulb consumes about 9 watts.  Running this Air Purifier is like leaving 9 (low) - 18 (high) lights on all day! I both love and hate this air purifier.  For the money (I was not given this free in exchange for my review), I had to share my thoughts.

It works well but doesn’t have the bells and whistles of other similar priced units. I got this filter to help ventilate my craft room. I frequently work with epoxy, alcohol inks, and strong smelling paints (the spray paints can be especially harsh). Since the craft room has a shared HVAC unit simply wearing a respirator is not good enough

 I trust 3M and feel confident that I am getting a quality filter. Everyone knows your purifier is only as good as the filter! It recommends replacing the filters every 6 months. I found the F2 filter at my local Walmart so like that I don’t have to special order them. They were priced under $15 so I think it’s very affordable
