Hey guys, I am a progressing intermediate skier in Utah and am now comfortable on most blue runs. I have Salomon Stance 80s but am thinking about adding a second ski for powder days. All of the 110+ waist width skis look like they would be too hard to turn so I am thinking about moving up to a 95 to 105 wide ski. I am researching the Salomon QST 98, Bent Chester 100, Rustler 10 etc. But am overwhelmed by the options. There are some used demos of the 2020 QST 99s near me at a decent price but I don't know if I should pull the trigger. Thoughts?

 We get convex tips and tails which we'll talk about in a second. This uses Line's partly cloudy wood core, so that's a blend of maple and polonia which gives it a nice kind of springy energetic feel from the maple and some stability and then polonia really brings the weight down as well. Probably not the stiffest ski on the market, in fact it's probably one of the softer skis that you'll find which is all by design, designed to be just super playful and super fun in soft snow. We mentioned those convex tips and tails, that's a pretty important design element to these skis

 Pretty iconic name from Line, Sir Francis Bacon's been around for a while and it's

 always had a just playful soft snow focus.

 So really cool ski, 107 millimeters underfoot, tip and tail rocker, obviously it's a twin

 We get convex tips and tails which we'll talk about in a second.

 This uses Line's partly cloudy wood core, so that's a blend of maple and polonia which

 Probably not the stiffest ski on the market, in fact it's probably one of the softer skis

 So yeah, whether you use it as a playful inbound ski at your local resort or you're kind of

 throwing it on the back of your pack and then hiking up somewhere and building a jump and

 just sessioning it for a while, that's pretty much what the Sir Francis Bacon is all about

 and that's really who we'd recommend it to.

 It is more of a centered mount point, not like 100% centered if you don't want to be,

 but it is more of a centered ski than a more directional powder ski would be.

 So perhaps not the best choice for a skier who's not going to be skiing switch or not

 spinning and stuff like that, but it could work for a skier like that if you prefer a
