Super fun ski from Line, directional, all-mountain ski, so not exactly what you might think of when you think of Line, the company is definitely known for making a lot of twin tips, a lot of freestyle-oriented skis, but you can kind of take some of that heritage and Line feel and apply it to these when it comes to performance

 Definitely a directional shape, like I said, it's not a twin tip, so not what you might expect from a company like Line. Way more tip rocker than tail rocker, so there's quite a bit of tip rocker, basically starts about where my hand is, and then down there in the tail, there's really not much to speak of at all, and it's got a really kind of snappy camber profile, too, which really comes into play in its performance. Like I said, it's relatively light, but it's also kind of impressively stiff, so what you get is a very energetic, responsive ski. Can hold an edge really well, it's not as damp as a ski that uses more metal, but still pretty darn strong, so you can ski it hard and fast on a groomer without worrying about it losing edge grip, but then, you know, if you take it off trail, take it into some moguls, stuff like that, you benefit from a lighter ski, a slightly more forgiving ski than some, a little bit easier maneuverability, it's a pretty agile ski, again, not like a super soft flex pattern, so it's not tremendously forgiving, but I would say that it's more forgiving than, you know, going back to kind of those heavy hitter skis in this category, heavier skis that use more metal, stuff like that, so very, very well-rounded all-mountain ski for somebody who spends a lot of their time on groomed slopes, whether you're East Coast or West Coast-based, but also wants a ski that they can take off trail, take into moguls, can handle some soft snow, kind of some smooth early taper up in the tip so it's not going to feel too hooky or too catchy, so yeah, really cool ski from Line, I'm always pretty darn impressed by how light they're able to keep this ski while retaining a pretty strong, strong feel and good edge grip, so that's the Sick Day 88 from Line, let us know if you have any questions about it, as always, read more about it on SkiEssentials

 Sick Day 88 back for another year and this ski continues to just be a fantastic

 ski for that intermediate level skier that really wants to start

 exploring more of the mountain. It's super easy to get up into a turn, holds an

 edge very well on firm snow. Gets a little nervous at the higher speed so it's

 definitely aimed at that kind of intermediate to aspiring advanced skier, not somebody who's

 really going to be pushing hard. But an 88 underfoot and with this tip profile

 the ski remains very nimble. When you get it into bumps, when you get it into crud,

 when you get it into softer snow, it's still going to be real predictable, real easy to ski.

 So it's something that's really going to start to open up more and more of the mountain and allow you to

 experience more of the hill and kind of broaden your horizon. So if you're that intermediate skier
