 In the Chronic we have more sidewall. So that's going to give this thing a better edge grip, better energy out of the turn but that partial cap still ends right where the rocker starts and it's also very symmetrical so we'll get to that when we put them back to back but we do see that thicker sidewall underfoot and tapering to full cap right where the end of the rocker is so in the tips and tails we do have full cap construction great for agility and quickness certainly lowers the swing weight of the ski and makes spinning through the air a lot easier as well as increasing that quickness and maneuverability making this a really agile ski for all-mountain skiing. Pretty light you know it's a little bit heavier because of the core thickness than the Blend but we're at 1710 grams so even though it's a little bit narrower it does have a little bit that thicker core profile does add up to a little bit sturdier of a feel to it but we do see that symmetry in the profile which is really nice if you center mount this thing you know your boot center will be right on top of the height of camber allowing this to really have that nice balanced feel both in the air and on the ground but we do see that rocker kind of start a little bit right about where that cap ends or cap begins excuse me giving you you know pretty good flotation it's certainly not like powder ski style but very playful very easy to use so you know I think tree skiing enthusiasts would really like this there's a lot of fun to be had out there in the woods as well as park and pipe but we do see that nice flex to it certainly more so in this in the thinner tip and tail profile so when it goes to that full cap we really see that flexibility start to go and a little bit stiffer underfoot but symmetrical flex tips and tails certainly see that bend in both ends of the ski allowing it to you know if you're doing ground work kind of that swervy style of freestyle skiing I think this is a great choice for sure but make sure to check out this line chronic this thing's been you know a beast for years for line in terms of that all-mountain freestyle flair but yeah definitely check these out it's keyessentials.com and we will see you out there on the hill

 Hey skiers, it's Bob with SkiEssentials.com. Welcome to our 2023 ski test. We got a Line

 Chronic for you today. Awesome ski for freestyle inspired skiers who spend most of their time

 in the park but also want something that can handle all mountain conditions and terrain

 as well. Conversely, you could use this as an all mountain ski and then take it into

 the park whenever you choose. So it does have that versatile nature to it. A lot of it has

 to do with the shape but also the construction. So we are built with a maple macro block wood

 core similar to what we see in the Line Blend. They do it in a bit thicker of a manner so

 this doesn't have quite the same like noodley flex as the Blend. It is still on the more

 flexible side of the spectrum but just having that thicker core profile goes a long way

 in making the ski stiffer and more responsive and boosting that all mountain personality

 as well. From a shape perspective, we are right in the sweet spot for all mountain one

 ski quivers at 95 millimeters underfoot. These skis produce a 16 meter turn radius here in

 the 171 which is right in the middle of what you're looking for if you want to carve turns

 on groomers, take this thing into the bumps and trees or keep it in the park. So it does

 have that well-rounded nature to it that allows it to be a lot of different things for a lot

 of different skiers mainly focused on that freestyle and park performance. The other

 thing that we have similar to the Blend is their cap wall construction. So in the Blend

 we have more cap. In the Chronic we have more sidewall. So that's going to give this thing
