If you want something larger for under $1,500, look into the LG OLED65A1PUA. It's a no-frills alternative to the LG C1 OLED, which explains why you can get it for cheaper, but that means it doesn't have as many features as it's limited to a 60Hz panel and doesn't have any variable refresh rate (VRR) support. Still, the picture quality looks fantastic because it has the same near-infinite contrast as the C1, making it an exceptional choice for watching movies in the dark. Although it also has low peak brightness, it has fantastic reflection handling, meaning glare won't be an issue in well-lit rooms. It also removes judder from 24p sources like Blu-rays, which helps with the appearance of motion in movies, but it doesn't remove it from 60p/i sources.

If you want the best OLED TV under $1,500, the 55 inch C1 is a great choice, but if you prefer something bigger, then look into the 65 inch A1.

 Great for those with visual disability, but couldn't it prompt on initial boot to turn it off. It's a poor way to introduce a new customer to the interface.  I could not login until I updated the OS. It just spun for several minutes before I got frustrated

That is a bad implementation (but how else can they collect data on me!)  Once I updated WebOS and got logged in, things started working a little better, but the "magic remote" cursor only works when it wants to

 That alone should have caused me to return it. The mobile app is spammy, and is more interested in collecting data than giving me a good experience.  I used to have a lot more respect for LG. Given that the reason for a TV is picture and sound, and that is excellent, I am satisfied with my purchase, but wow, what a disappointment on the UI/UX

 It had most of my apps but no F1 (formula one) app. So I have to keep my fire stick. The magic remote is horrible, I'm definitely going to get a better after marker universal remote. It has the air mouse feature but if it really was magic, I could make that feature disappear

As for hardware mounting compatibility, the TV includes 2 feet if you choose to use it on a stand, or it can mount on a VESA compatible bracket. The remote control is a slightly revised version of the traditional LG bracket remotes. Though it looks like more of a traditional remote, it still has the pointer on-screen feature support. 

The built-in sound is excellent and can be enhanced by connecting to a Bluetooth soundbar or a surround sound setup. With the ARC HDMI support, this TV provides an enjoyable visual and audio experience.

 Read on to decide whether to buy the A series or the C:  If you don’t game frequently with your television, save your money and go for this “A.” As long as you can live with only having three HDMI inputs, you won’t be able to tell the difference in the picture. My son is an avid sports fan and gamer, too. The 60mhz refresh rate of the A series versus 120 can be seen when gaming but not in watching sports

 Typically, they are only 55 inches and larger. We bought the 48-inch LG CX OLED to put it to the test on our monitor test bench and see how it performs. We've already reviewed the 55-inch model which performs very similarly, so we won't be talking about it in this video.  We bought the smaller 48-inch CX to test, but it's also available in larger sizes up to 77 inches. Of course 48 inches is already on the large side for a monitor, so most people probably aren't interested in these larger models to put on their desk. Now what this 48-inch size and 4K resolution means for you is a pixel density of about 92 pixels per inch. This sounds a bit low when you consider many people find the sweet spot to be about a 27-inch 1440p monitor that has 109 pixels per inch

 A low input lag is important to feel responsive, especially when playing fast paced games. The lower the input lag the lower the delay between an action in game and when you see it on the screen. At about 10ms it definitely feels responsive and shouldn't be a problem for most people. It's a bit higher than some other gaming monitors, but it's unlikely to be noticeable unless you're a really competitive gamer

 And lastly, while most monitors will just shut off the screen when your PC turns off or goes to sleep, this isn't the case with a TV. As a result, you should keep the remote handy. Now despite the differences from most monitors, the style of the CX looks good. A fast response time is crucial for gaming, as it's the time it takes for a display to change pixels from one color to the next

We bought and tested the LG 48" CX OLED as a computer monitor, and even though this is meant to be a TV, it offers impressive overall performance as a monitor. Its 4k resolution delivers an exceptionally clear image, the OLED technology displays perfect blacks, and it has very wide viewing angles. It's an excellent choice for gaming because it has native FreeSync variable refresh rate (VRR) support and it's G-SYNC compatible, the response time is near-instant, and it has a low input lag. Sadly, it doesn't get very bright because of its aggressive automatic brightness limiter (ABL), but if you want to place it in a bright room, it has outstanding reflection handling. It's a really well-built TV with a sleek design, but unlike most monitors, its stand doesn't allow for adjustments.
