I never know when I turn the set on whether I can watch it or do I have to spend the next 15-minutes waiting for the poorly written software to scan the Motorola cable box for the fourth time today and still not find it. Samsung wants this to be more computer than television and that's where my disconnect with them is because I own a computer and wanted to buy a display. This smart TV is either too smart or too stupid for this tech wizard.

The main “ENTER button is awkward because it has a scroll function on it (for scrolling on internet and “quick scroll for channels) and it should be placed higher up on the device (ergonomically speaking). Remote is a bit small for my hand and I am not a man. I have yet to find a “last channel” button :-( It has a RETURN button, but it doesn’t do what I would expect. And you have to go to another screen or channel up or down to view “program info”

I wish it wouldn't try to get "smart" and detect anything, or prompt me about agreeing to terms for services I'll never use, or change inputs when something new is plugged in. Just be a normal "dumb" TV that does what I say, when I say it, and not a second before or after.

Forget the AI SOUND in the settings, it's rubbish! The smart features of the tv also have gotten an upgrade. With this newer version of WebOS, I am finally able to use Alexa or Google assistant as well as being able to stream from my Apple and Google devices. It makes things handy since I no longer have to connect any external smart boxes such as Apple TV or my NVIDIA Shield. Overall, the tv is still better than any LCD LED-lit based tv

Smart things should work with Nest Cameras pretty seemlessly. However it often will kick you out of the app or will be very slow to load. I do feel this is probably a software issue with smart things. I was hoping it would do things like pop up to tell me someone was ringing the doorbell but no such luck

They are serviceable for watching the news or something simple like that but even then they come off as being tinny or hollow sounding. You can help this a little bit by manually adjusting the EQ but who calibrated the built in options must have been listening from a different room. All in all I would probably buy this TV again but I would probably look a little harder at non OLED options to really get a better sense of all the options they can provide.

What's more, once while in the middle of a movie, the sound muted by itself (the remote was on the stand) for no reason at all. The mute icon just popped up on the screen and stayed that way until I adjusted the volume with the remote. Not an encouraging sign.

If you nudge the wheel in the slightest while trying to hit the button, the D-pad cursor is erased and the motion cursor pops up, ready to immediately misclick whatever it happens to be pointing at at the time. Fortunately, the TV has an IR receiver and is fully supported by my 12-year old Harmony remote, so I'll hopefully never need to touch the remote again. - Likely stemming from WebOS's roots as a touch-based interface for phones, some items (such as bringing up series details in the Hulu PP) are brought up by long-pressing the OK button. Even Roku players, which bring minimalism in remote design to an art form, have a dedicated button for such things

Since we had it set up with what we needed it was easier just to keep it running. BTW roku remote will control on/off and volume and mute of this tv. Unless we need to change underlying tv settings we don't us the nifty cool solar cell remote, :D The tv does have a higher power usb port which allows the roku to be powered by tv, no wall wart needed. Spectrum app, allowed us to save $8 a month in cable fees, since i could return rented cable box

You have to have the money available at the time of the notice and act quickly. got it at msrp.+ tax. lucky day

Final conclusion was to call Amazon. I did. Many times. All reps tried their best to resolve our problem

And maybe the bigger size will keep me from losing it in the couch like the AppleTV Remote.

Goes on to emphasize that if you are flexible and can go with larger TV sizes (esp. 55") then far better options really open up.
