 Now let's get back to the monitor now. I Started off by looking at the 4k monitor range because I've been putting out videos in the UHD resolution 300 400 by Tu-160 for about 18 months or so now. Now they are quite expensive, but also there isn't really much. Probably buying one because my back Book Pro which is mid 2014 range

I think my videos on a laptop and yes, it's a match, but that's irrelevant for this video. It could just as well be a laptop running Linux or Windows just imagine it's running whatever operating system makes you feel least agitated because this isn't a video about operating systems. No, it's a video about a monitor now. I Edit on a laptop because I value the portability and the fact I can easily pack it away and it means I can edit videos here or here what's going on and once I finished editing everything together I can bring the laptop in here, record the voiceover using this microphone, and then afterwards clear everything away

Going UltraWide with the LG 21:9 Monitor 29UM68

 Within days I had fallen in love with it. I'm using the DP connection to get 75Hz and an amd gpu to utilize freesync and once I started gaming it all made sense fairly quickly. This thing is dirt cheap and lightning fast, I'm not Chuck Norris on CS:Go I don't need an absurd refresh rate or response time on the bleeding edge of technology, I mostly do research for work, watch youtube and play Warframe. The settings for font clarity and refresh rates really only took 5 minutes to figure out and I was rolling

If you're trying to decide between like a 1440p 16 by 9 or this guy here or even another 1080p 21 by 9, go with the 1080 21 by night, it's not gonna be as hard to drive so you'll save some money on your GPU and it's an ultra-wide and I again I will never be going back

 It actually has a response time setting on the monitor that does some trickery to basically make the monitor feel like it's responding quicker, but not have ghosting problems and stuff like that. I Usually that setting on medium and it works Excellent. I Do feel that this does respond faster than all the other IPS monitors I've had out there. Whatever LG is doing on the back end there, they're doing a really great job of that

 It's just LG and I think every review where everybody has been trying to tell you guys this, please just make the monitor out of matte materials. it's not it's it's not that hard. you will please everybody and Matt looks better in a lot of people's opinions too. So anyway, that's for the build quality for the design though

The best 4k gaming monitor that we've tested is the Gigabyte M32U. Getting a 4k monitor is ideal if you like playing high-resolution games or if you have a console. The high resolution delivers an incredibly sharp and detailed gaming experience. Motion looks exceptionally smooth thanks to the quick response time, and it has low input lag for a responsive gaming experience.

It has a 144Hz refresh rate, which you can achieve over a DisplayPort connection. Thankfully, even over HDMI, you can hit a max refresh rate of 120Hz with a 4k resolution thanks to the HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. However, it doesn't support full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1, meaning your graphics card needs to use compression to achieve high-frame-rate signals. Additionally, it doesn't deliver a good HDR experience because it can't get bright enough to make highlights pop.

The best monitor for video editing and photo editing that we've tested in a 32 inch size is the Gigabyte M32U. It's a great 32 inch, 4k monitor with a fast 144Hz refresh rate. The large, high-resolution screen makes it much easier to see more of your work at once, and the high pixel density delivers sharp images and clear text without having to zoom in. It has wide viewing angles and good ergonomics, so you can easily share your screen with someone else.

It has excellent accuracy out of the box, with accurate colors and great white balance. It has an excellent SDR color gamut, with complete coverage of the sRGB color space, but its coverage of the wider Adobe RGB color space isn't enough if you use that color space. It also supports HDR if you choose to master in DCI-P3 and Rec. 2020. It can display a wide color gamut, but overall, its coverage of HDR color spaces isn't the best out there.

Unfortunately, like all IPS monitors, it has low contrast, and the local dimming feature is terrible, so it's not a good choice for a dark room. Despite these flaws, it's an impressive monitor that should please most users, and it's the best 32 inch monitor for photo editing and video editing that we've tested.

It has wide viewing angles, making it a great choice for co-op gaming, and it also has okay ergonomics, but you can't rotate it into portrait mode. It supports HDR, has okay peak brightness in HDR, and has a wide color gamut, so small highlights in games stand out a bit, and most content looks great. It also has exceptional gradient handling, with almost no noticeable banding in areas of similar colors. Sadly, it's not bright enough for a true cinematic experience, but HDR still adds something.

Sadly, it's not the best choice for a dark room, as it has low contrast and bad black uniformity. There are also a few bugs with it, and you have to update to the latest firmware to get the lowest input lag. It's an excellent gaming monitor, with a quick response time throughout the entire refresh rate range, ensuring a smooth gaming experience with little blur from any source. It also has excellent low input lag, resulting in a responsive gaming experience. It supports FreeSync variable refresh rate technology, but it also works with NVIDIA's G-SYNC Compatible mode, although it's not certified to.

It's also one of the first monitors on the market that supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, making it an excellent choice for console gamers, as it can take full advantage of most of what the Sony PS5 and Xbox Series S|X have to offer, including 4k @ 120Hz gaming. However, it doesn't support full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 as it's limited to 24 Gbps instead of 48 Gbps, so your graphics card needs to use Display Stream Compression for high-frame-rate signals. Still, the 32 inch 4k screen delivers a more immersive gaming experience, and it has superb text clarity.

Unfortunately, like most IPS monitors, it doesn't look as good in a dark room, as it has a low contrast ratio. This results in blacks that look gray in the dark. It has a local dimming feature to improve it, but unfortunately, it's terrible and ineffective at improving contrast. Overall, though, it's an excellent monitor that should please most gamers.

Although most monitors work just fine with recent Mac Minis or MacBook Pros, some monitors are just a bit better-suited for Mac users. USB-C connectivity is a definite plus, especially if it supports USB-C Power Delivery, as this makes it much easier to connect your MacBook, with a single USB-C cable providing power to your laptop, while also delivering image and sound to your monitor. The pixel density can also play an important factor, as the macOS UI is designed for displays with a pixel density of either 110 or 220 pixels-per-inch, but there are no issues with using a monitor that doesn't meet this.

The Gigabyte M32U is the best MacBook Pro monitor that we've tested. It's an impressive monitor with a large, high-resolution screen. It supports USB-C, but unfortunately, its power delivery is too low to keep a MacBook fully charged while you're using it, which isn't ideal. The built-in USB hub simplifies your connections, though, as you can keep all of your peripherals connected to your monitor, leaving the USB-C ports on your laptop free for other things. It has excellent accuracy out of the box and an outstanding SDR color gamut, making it a great choice for content creators or professionals that require accurate colors.

The Gigabyte M32U is the best 4k gaming monitor we've tested. It's an excellent gaming monitor with a large 32 inch screen, and the high resolution delivers clear text and sharp images. Although it's mainly for gaming, it has lots of productivity features if you want to use it for work during the day and game on it at night.

It has a high 144Hz native refresh rate, and the FreeSync variable refresh rate (VRR) support with G-SYNC compatibility helps reduce screen tearing. Motion looks smooth thanks to its incredibly quick response time, whether you're gaming at its max refresh rate of 144Hz or at 60Hz. Even though it has an optional backlight strobing feature that works at the same time as VRR to help improve the appearance of motion, it's buggy, and motion already looks good without it.

Unfortunately, while it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, it's limited to 24 Gbps and not the full 48 Gbps. You'll need Display Stream Compression (DSC) for signals above that bandwidth, and while you can play 4k games up to 120 fps from the PS5, you're limited to chroma 4:2:0 signals. If this isn't an issue for you, it's one of the best gaming monitors with a 4k resolution.

The Gigabyte M32U is the best monitor for MacBook Pro that we've tested with a 4k resolution. It has many features to improve your workflow, and the picture quality is good. The large 32 inch screen makes it easy to open multiple windows side-by-side, and the 4k resolution helps deliver sharp text and crisp images.

Although mainly designed for gaming, it's also great for content creators. It has impressive out-of-the-box accuracy, so you won't need to get it calibrated to enjoy it to the fullest, and it has a fantastic SDR color gamut for a wide range of colors. You can connect it to it via its USB-C input, and while you can use it to charge the laptop, it only has 15W of power. You can keep the laptop going during your workday, but it won't charge very fast.

Sadly, it's not good for use in dark rooms because it has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks look gray, and the edge-lit local dimming feature causes blooming. Fortunately, it has a keyboard video mouse (KVM) switch, so you can control two devices with the same keyboard and mouse if you have something else connected alongside your MacBook Pro. All in all, it's the best 4k monitor to use with your MacBook Pro.

The Gigabyte M32U is the best 4k monitor for Mac Mini that we've tested. It's a great monitor overall, with a high-resolution screen, resulting in superb text clarity. It has very good peak brightness and decent reflection handling, so glare isn't an issue, and its wide viewing angles make it easy to share your screen with someone else. It also has amazing connectivity, with a built-in USB hub, making it easy to connect your peripherals to your Mac without a bunch of dongles or adapters.

It has great accuracy out of the box, with a built-in sRGB mode that ensures colors look accurate when browsing the web or working. It also supports HDR, and it can display a wide color gamut, but because it has low contrast and a terrible local dimming feature, HDR doesn't add much. Finally, it has fantastic gradient handling, with no noticeable banding in areas of similar color.

Unfortunately, although it supports Power Delivery over its USB-C port, it's limited to 15W, so you can't charge your MacBook and use the monitor with a single cable. Overall, it's a great monitor with few flaws.

If you want something a bit bigger, then check out the Gigabyte M32U. It has worse ergonomics than the Dell S2722QC, and because it's a larger screen, it has lower pixel density and worse text clarity, but it's still fantastic. Although mainly designed as a gaming monitor, it's great for office use, with wide viewing angles, excellent gray uniformity, and okay ergonomics. Visibility isn't an issue in most viewing environments, as it has very good peak brightness and decent reflection handling. There's a great selection of office features, including a built-in KVM switch, allowing you to work with two sources using one keyboard and mouse. Sadly, it has uniformity issues with dark scenes as there's backlight bleed, and the local dimming feature is terrible.

Overall, the Dell monitor is the best option for most programmers. However, if you want something a bit larger or you want an excellent gaming monitor for when you need to take a break from programming, then check out the Gigabyte.

It also has low input lag, ensuring a responsive gaming experience overall. It's nearly fully compatible with everything the PS5 offers, supporting up to 4k @ 120Hz gaming and VRR.

It has wide viewing angles, so you can easily share your screen with someone else, and the stand has a good range of ergonomic adjustments, so you can easily place it in an ideal viewing position. It looks good in bright rooms, with good peak brightness and decent reflection handling. Finally, it also supports HDR from the PS5, but although it can display a wide color gamut, it's not very bright in HDR, so bright highlights in some scenes aren't as impactful.

Unfortunately, it doesn't support the full 48 Gbps bandwidth of HDMI 2.1 as it's limited to 24 Gbps. It has incredibly low input lag with the latest firmware, but you'll need to update it to its latest firmware, as the input lag out of the box is a bit high. Finally, it supports FreeSync variable refresh rate (VRR) technology, which helps reduce tearing when gaming, ensuring a smooth, responsive gaming experience.

Unfortunately, it doesn't support full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1, as it's limited to 24 Gbps instead of 48 Gbps, so you'll need compression to display high-frame-rate signals. However, since the Xbox supports compression, it doesn't have any trouble with games up to 4k @ 120Hz. While it has HDR10 support and a local dimming feature, HDR content doesn't look good because there's blooming around bright objects. Still, it's an excellent overall gaming monitor.

The best 4k 144Hz gaming monitor we've tested in a 32 inch screen size is the Gigabyte M32U. It's an amazing gaming monitor, with a fast response time across the entire refresh rate range, resulting in crystal-clear motion with almost no noticeable blur. It also has excellent low input lag for a responsive gaming experience. It supports FreeSync and G-SYNC compatible variable refresh rate (VRR) technology, which helps reduce tearing when your source can't maintain a consistently high frame rate.

It has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on two ports, and it supports 4k @ 120Hz gaming from the latest PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. There are some limits when gaming on a PS5, though, as the ports are limited to 24 Gbps bandwidth, meaning higher bandwidth signals require a form of compression currently unsupported on the PS5. It isn't a very noticeable issue, though, so most people shouldn't worry about it, but some text looks blurry as it displays chroma 4:2:0 with 4k @ 120Hz signals.

Sadly, although it supports HDR, it's not bright enough for a proper HDR experience, and it has low contrast, so even though HDR adds something to the experience, it's not as good as it could be. On the plus side, it has many extra features, like a USB-C input. It's a great all-around monitor, and it's the best 4k monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate that we've tested.

Gigabyte is a computer parts manufacturer based in Taiwan that doesn't have a wide range of products like Dell, Samsung, and LG, but they still make good monitors. Their monitors mainly focus on gaming, but they also tend to include lots of office-friendly features, so if you're looking for a monitor for your at-home work station that you're also going to game on at night, you'll likely find something good from them. They have two monitor lineups with their higher-end AORUS lineup and the more affordable Gigabyte lineup. Even their Gigabyte lineup has two sub-series of monitors, with the M Series line that features the Gigabyte M32U and the Gigabyte M27Q, and the monitors in this lineup have a keyboard, video, mouse (KVM) switch. It means that you can connect one keyboard and mouse to the monitor and control two devices with them.

While Gigabyte makes good monitors for their price and often offer better value than the competition, there are a few issues with them. There are some known problems with quality control, and their 4k monitors had high input lag with 60Hz signals before a firmware update fixed that. They also usually have IPS panels with a low contrast ratio, so if you need something for dark room gaming, a Gigabyte model likely isn't a good choice. Still, their monitors have great gaming features, like HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for console gamers and high refresh rates with variable refresh rate support for an excellent gaming experience.

If you don't need the best in terms of both gaming and picture quality, you can still get excellent gaming performance with a mid-range monitor like the Gigabyte M32U. It has the same 32-inch, 4k screen as the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75, with the main difference being that it doesn't feature Mini LED backlighting. It means that it doesn't have the same excellent picture quality, especially for dark room gaming or HDR, but it has a different panel type with wider viewing angles instead, making it the better choice for co-op gaming.

It has the same HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for console gaming. Even if you game from a PC, it's excellent thanks to its low input lag for a responsive feel, flicker-free backlight, and fast response time across its entire refresh rate range. It also has native FreeSync VRR support, and if you have an NVIDIA graphics card, it's G-SYNC compatible. While it doesn't perform well in dark rooms, it's good in well-lit rooms as it has very good peak brightness and decent reflection handling. If you find the 32-inch screen size too big, there's a smaller version, the Gigabyte M28U, that you can get cheaper, but it has worse ergonomics.

If you find the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 S32BG85 too expensive but still want a 4k monitor that's versatile for different uses, check out the Gigabyte M32U. While you don't get the same excellent picture quality because it has a lower contrast and lacks Mini LED backlighting, you still get the same gaming features like HDMI 2.1 bandwidth if you also want to use it for console gaming with the PS5 and Xbox Series X. However, the one advantage this monitor has over the Samsung model is that it has an impressive array of additional features that makes it a great choice for work use.

It has a built-in KVM switch that lets you control two devices with the same keyboard and mouse, which is great for multitasking if you work with a laptop and desktop at the same time, and it has a USB-C port. You won't have issues using it in a well-lit room as it gets bright enough to fight glare, and the reflection handling is decent. If you find the 32-inch screen too big, there's a smaller variant known as the Gigabyte M28U, with slightly worse ergonomics but gets brighter. Whether you're gaming or working, either is a great option.

The best 144Hz monitor we've tested is the Gigabyte M32U. It's an excellent overall gaming monitor with a large 32-inch screen and 4k resolution that delivers an incredibly immersive gaming experience. It's a great choice if you want to see a lot of detail while playing games, but you need to ensure you have a high-end graphics card that supports 4k @ 144Hz gaming. Motion looks smooth thanks to its incredibly fast response time at any frame rate, and it has low input lag for a responsive feel. It also has native FreeSync variable refresh rate (VRR) support to reduce screen tearing, and it's G-SYNC compatible.

It has a few features to improve your gaming experience, like the ability to add a virtual crosshair that your system won't detect. It has a black equalizer feature to adjust the gamma so that you can see opponents better in dark games. It also has a dashboard that shows your computer info, like the fan speeds, memory usage, and CPU and GPU temperatures. If you find the 32-inch screen too big, there's also a 28-inch model available, the Gigabyte M28U, which is essentially the same monitor but with worse ergonomics.

If you like the high-end features of the LG 32GQ950-B but want to save some money, check out the Gigabyte M32U. It has many of the same features as the LG, like the 4k resolution and HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, with the main difference being that it has 24 Gbps bandwidth of HDMI 2.1, while the LG has the full 48 Gbps bandwidth. It doesn't make much of a difference while gaming, but your graphics card will need to use compression with the Gigabyte, which is the trade-off of getting a cheaper monitor. Still, if you're a gamer, it has low input lag for a responsive feel, and its quick response time results in almost no motion blur.

Despite being designed as a gaming monitor, it has a bunch of office-oriented features, like a KVM switch that lets you control two devices with the same mouse and keyboard. It's great for productivity, especially if you need to work on a laptop and desktop at the same time. It also has a USB-C port that makes it easy to connect a laptop, but as it's limited to 15W of power delivery, it isn't enough to charge it while using it.

If you need a simpler 4k gaming monitor in the mid-range price category, then the Gigabyte M32U is a good alternative to the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75. While it has the same 32-inch screen, there are a few differences in picture quality, as the Gigabyte doesn't have Mini LED backlighting or the same panel type, so it performs worse in dark rooms as blacks look gray. However, it has wider viewing angles that make it a great choice for co-op gaming, as the image remains accurate from the sides.

It has a quick response time, low input lag, and VRR support for a responsive gaming experience. It also has a few extra features like a frame rate counter and a dashboard that shows all the vital information from your PC, like the CPU and GPU temps, memory, and other helpful information. There are also similar monitors from Gigabyte that don't cost much, like the Gigabyte M32UC, which is a very similar monitor with a different panel type. It has a higher contrast ratio for better dark room performance but has worse viewing angles and worse motion handling than the M32U.

If you don't need the best overall picture quality and want a mid-range monitor for cheaper, then consider the Gigabyte M32U. It doesn't have Mini LED backlighting like the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75, so its HDR picture quality isn't nearly as good, but this is what you have to expect for getting a cheaper monitor. Still, it's excellent for gaming with a fast response time when gaming at 120Hz. It means your favorite games look crystal clear with very little blur behind fast-moving objects. It also has low input lag, ensuring a responsive gaming experience. It's fully compatible with everything the PS5 offers, supporting up to 4k @ 120Hz gaming thanks to its HDMI 2.1 bandwidth.

It has wide viewing angles, so you can easily share your screen with someone else, and the stand has a good range of ergonomic adjustments. It looks good in bright rooms, with good peak brightness and decent reflection handling. However, it isn't as good in a dark room due to its low contrast ratio, and if that's important to you, consider the Gigabyte M32UC, which is extremely similar and has a higher contrast, but it has worse motion handling.

It supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on both its HDMI ports, meaning you can enjoy 4k @ 120Hz gaming from the Xbox Series X.

It looks great in bright rooms, thanks to its high peak brightness and good reflection handling. It also has wide viewing angles, making it a great choice for co-op gaming. Its stand even offers good ergonomics as you can adjust the screen to your liking, and it has a few extra features to improve the user experience, like a USB hub that lets you charge your devices while gaming.

If you find the Gigabyte AORUS FO48U OLED too expensive or don't want the 48-inch screen size but still want the best 4k 120Hz monitor, look into the Gigabyte M32U. It's different from the FO48U because it has a smaller 32-inch screen, and while it doesn't offer the same immersive gaming experience, images look sharper due to its higher pixel density. It doesn't have an OLED panel either, so it isn't as good for dark room gaming, but it also gets brighter for well-lit rooms.

It still offers an excellent gaming experience with an excellent response time at 120Hz, and it also has an optional backlight strobing feature that works at 120Hz; however, it creates image duplications. Its input lag remains low with 120Hz signals for a responsive gaming experience. Like the FO48U, it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth that lets you play games from the PS5 or Xbox Series X, and if you're also a PC gamer, it has a slightly higher 144Hz max refresh rate. If you still find the 32-inch screen size too big, there's the Gigabyte M28U available, which is essentially a smaller monitor that costs less but has a less ergonomic stand.

 However, I haven't noticed much benefit to higher refresh rate with an RTX 3080, but I'm also a casual gamer. Just don't buy it for the KVM as it'll most likely annoy you.  UPDATE (dropped to two stars): Gigabyte support suspects my "panel might be bad", but my only option is to send it back to Gigabyte at my own expense for inspection. There's Amazon links below for the us uk canada and international links, but let's jump into it All right right away This is a 31 and a half inch screen size with a resolution of 38 40 by 21 60 aka 4k and this is a gaming monitor Obviously now the ppi or pixels per inch essentially how crisp and clear your image is going to be is Really good here. In fact, it's more than really good. It is perfect in my professional opinion This has a ppi of about 138 now if you know anything about ppi, you know, that is a good resolution Small text things on the screen even really fine details are very very crisp If you're just on your desktop All of your folders all of your icons all of that really small text is going to be perfectly crisp and clear Which is amazing now after using a ton of 4k 27 inch and 4k 32 inch monitors 32 is by far the best 4k at 27 inches is too much Not that it looks bad, but that you're not really fully utilizing all of that 4k resolution Whereas on a 32 inch it is mashed perfectly
