Negative

Just got this monitor on Black Friday for $270 and here's my first impressions.

Meaning using a 24 1080p and 27 1440p will look different, but not by ALOT. On top of that, 1080p looks worse on here since the lower ppi, so if you want a good experience you're going to need to go with 1440p on your games, which is harder to run. I reccoment turning down the settings like sharing that don't matter too much cause resolution is way more important. The build quality is very good, it uses steel and metal for multiple pieces and the setup is surprisingly easy

Save your money for a real gaming LCD.

Same with refresh rate.At 1ms/144hz the ghosting is glaring and intolerable. The display only looks decent at 4ms/60hz, and at that point, why bother using this as a gaming monitor at all?

Response Time

A great panel with crippling software flaws

Time. They also removed automatic input switching from last year's model for no good reason. Both of these featured *sort* of worked on the older 27GN950 after a bunch of firmware updates. This "improved" model has regressed in both of those areas to the point where it's less reliable than my $300 Dell junker

I can't recommend.

Btw don't put the monitor on "Super Fast Mode" on response time in the monitor settings. You will get ghosting (I tested it on testufo).

Size

Color accuracy.. sharp... Meh on Local Dimming

Read quite a few review indicate that 27 4K is too small need windows scaling. quite a few reviewer against windows scaling. Fact : 27 4K 100% scale is hard to read. despite bad review on window scale

Excellent Upgrade

My only complaint is the given dimensions. It says 13.25 but make sure you have approx. 14

Be Aware of the Panel Quantity!!!

It is just not so frequent. The monitor mount is not in good design too. I order two of these monitors. The one I post here actually can't reach the same height as another one I bought

Amazing monitor, some issues with windows 10

Otherwise solid stand with room for cables to go out the back and height adjustment is very easy. The box: Came perfectly packed and protected (my UPS guy dropped it on the porch with such a thud you'd think he was having a bad day or something). No damage to the screen and I was able to repackage the monitor in the box when I moved recently with zero problems. The buttons and OSD: Simple and intuitive design
