It is very compact when folded (so you can carry it in your backpack without problems) but not small at all when opened: it's the perfect size! It's also doesn't look cheap, seems to be made of premium materials. An all around good purchase. The automatic folding mechanism seems well made, if it ever breaks I will update the review accordingly.

Thankfully, the second one they sent me was packed properly in the box and was A-Okay.. Now both of these sun shades open up the same way

Seems sturdy enough, but not worth the price do to plastic ribbing. This was repeatedly delayed, over a week late - I needed it last week. Had to order a different one from Walmart which arrived in 2 days after ordering. I will be using this as a back up parasol to help block extreme heat ultraviolet rays when the ultraviolet rays are capable of burning my skin faster

Wasn't suited for our needs.The bottom should have unscrewed for two purposes,1) to put in the hole of outside table or 2) to shade at the beach! Price is outrageous!!

This doesn't stand too much in the way of holding it in normal rain. But, I haven't dealt with really windy conditions or holding it up for a long walk or something, so I can't write it off for sure. Overall, a good quality umbrella for the price.

Ended up holding upside down and letting gravity assist in opening. Other than that it is very well made.

It has done a great job in small showers and rather large down pours. It has help up very well against strong winds and gusts as well. The only problem I have had was during an extended period in a downpour. Water began to get through the seams and drip after the umbrella was saturated but that has only occurred once

This product keeps the sun and rain off of you. I use mine for ball games and it is so easy to put up! I also like how light weight it is and so easy to carry!

i love the one click to open and close feature but you do have to reset the springs if you click it closed but then need to open again. pushing it down once its clicked closed takes a little effort but not too bad. my only complaint like others have mentioned is the size of the handle. I wish it was longer so i can get a better grip

This replaced my old worn-out sports umbrella. Really like the new auger pole and twist handles. Bought the 9 ft which gives more room, but miss the cozy 8 ft. Bought the blue, but miss the orange that is no longer available

It's lightweight and does its job. Might be a little small if you're wearing a backpack. One slight issue is that the tassel that keeps the umbrella wrapped up when closed flops around below where the umbrella covers when walking so a little bit of water might hit you, but it's not too bad. Overall, worth the money

I wish I would have realized how much larger and heavier this one is compared to my last one. I will be keeping it. Just make sure that you really want one this big and heavy.
