I appreciate the opening on the water tank, which does in fact let me fit my hand inside. However, there are fins of plastic on the inside that are hard to clean around. There's also a tube that runs down the inside of the tank with tight clearance between the tube and the side wall. I squeeze a sponge in between there and hope I get it good enough

I still miss my good old Air-o-swiss… It does a good job with keeping the moisture in my bedroom. It is quiet in cool mist mode, a bit noticeable sound when in warm mist mode. Cleaning is not hard but there is a lot of parts and a bit annoying to put everything apart and get to all nooks and crannies . If I may suggest… get yourself a round soft brush with long handle- kinda like to clean toilets but in kitchen section

Mild annoyance. Can be avoided by being mindful of it, which I suppose is a trait I lack in this particular case. I bought these humidifiers on sale, and they have held up very well. I don't think I will purchase again in the future, though, as I'm sick of cleaning the dang things

As an experiment we used it for a tank full in another room all day with little interference from currents or people walking by with the warm mist. It was much more effective and consistent in this decent sized room and agreed with the hygrometer 90% of the time. However, when I walked by, opened the garage entry door (12 feet away) or did activity behind the unit (reading newspaper, sitting up and down, etc), it did the same inaccurate and fluctuating humidity detection causing the unit to not achieve the desired level. And as mentioned the unit can 360 direct mist, but the left front is where the humidistat is and that's not a good place to direct it

I filled the water tank and placed it to work on the Low mist setting ONLY. The tank was empty after exactly 27 hours. Yes, it worked great, very quiet, and efficient for 27 nonstop hours! So, 40? Not in this world, no matter what you do to it. Of course, it will work even less on the Medium and the High settings, but I went with the Low only

It really helps during Santa Anna conditions when outdoor RH is <10%. Cool mist output = 250ml/hr max Cool + Warm = 500ml/hr max We have VERY VERY hard water. If we use tap water in a humidifier the air gets visibly foggy/hazy from the suspended minerals in the air, so we use our reverse osmosis system to fill the tank.
