 One thing is that you can track your humidity over time, with a week of history. It's kind of interesting to see that doing a ton of cooking (especially with gas) raised the humidity even a short distance to the bedroom. An additional app change is that they added "Smart Scenes". This functionality can work as a kind of workaround for the wide humidity range offered in "Auto" mode

 I appreciate the opening on the water tank, which does in fact let me fit my hand inside. However, there are fins of plastic on the inside that are hard to clean around. There's also a tube that runs down the inside of the tank with tight clearance between the tube and the side wall. I squeeze a sponge in between there and hope I get it good enough

 My unit consistently reads much higher than two other humidity sensors I have. For example right now it reads 65% when the other sensors report 50% and 51% (in two connected rooms). Sometimes it's closer to being only 10% off.  Second, the hysteresis (amount of overshoot/undershoot from your selected humidity) is +/- 3%

 There's also a tube that runs down the inside of the tank with tight clearance between the tube and the side wall. I squeeze a sponge in between there and hope I get it good enough. The outside of the tank has a piece towards the bottom that detaches, but it's also got a lot of small spaces that are harder to get to. The base isn't so bad to clean, although it's easy to splash water into the humidity sensor while you're at it

Bad sensor & limited auto controls

 Mild annoyance. Can be avoided by being mindful of it, which I suppose is a trait I lack in this particular case.  I bought these humidifiers on sale, and they have held up very well. I don't think I will purchase again in the future, though, as I'm sick of cleaning the dang things

 They run for about 16ish hours on high and can sufficiently humidify a large room.  It's important to remember that this unit doesn't have a filter, so it grows mold and gets slimy VERY quickly. I recommend rinsing out the reservoir AND the base once a day with hot water and clean with diluted bleach spray at least once a week. It comes with a handy brush to get into the little nooks

 Don't make the same mistake I did and neglect cleaning it regularly - you WILL get ill. Also don't let water sit in it when it's not in use.  Also worth noting - It doesn't leak but sometimes, depending on the air circulation in the room, some of the mist will float down onto the surface I have the humidifier sitting on. I keep the humidifier on a tray and lay the tray on a small towel to prevent my dresser from being damaged from moisture

  I bought these humidifiers on sale, and they have held up very well. I don't think I will purchase again in the future, though, as I'm sick of cleaning the dang things. They really do get slimy fast. So next time I'll opt for one that has a filter

2 years of use - not too bad

 I filled the water tank and placed it to work on the Low mist setting ONLY. The tank was empty after exactly 27 hours. Yes, it worked great, very quiet, and efficient for 27 nonstop hours! So, 40? Not in this world, no matter what you do to it. Of course, it will work even less on the Medium and the High settings, but I went with the Low only

TROUBLESHOOTING：

The display shows No Water Indicator incorrectly:

 I know it's not expensive, but damn...I don't have space for 15 gallons of distilled water

 That is admittedly probably where my problem stems from, but I run this thing so much while it's dry as hell in Kentucky this time of year (winter) that I just don't want to have to stock gallons and gallons of distilled water, since it'll go through 2/3 of a tank in one night. I keep it set to auto shut off at 50% humidity, well within the recommended range and it still runs pretty much nonstop. That's not the fault of the app or software, it really is that dry in the winter here.  I keep to the app's suggestion of cleaning it once a week, and have even found myself having to do it more than that with the gross buildup of yellow slime all over the intake and all over the bottom section/reservoir and it's whole assembly

  My only issue with it is keeping it clean. I change the water and rinse it out every night, and I admit that I don't only put the recommended distilled water in it, only tap water. I bought this humidifier after becoming a plant papa this year and after noticing how dry my own skin was becoming this winter— and I can say I have been satisfied with its performance, overall. The tank holds enough water to last a few days at times and after about an hour on the highest level— I noticed a firm difference in the room. It's quiet and the automatic setting is nice too— knowing it's only running when necessary is a relief since I have a lot of books in the room its in. What they don't tell you

 Dryness of skin, specially during the winter is huge. Not only that, but because of the cold and so much usage of heater everywhere (home, office, stores, friends home, etc), breathing well is hard. This humidifier delivers everything that promises. The humidity of my daughter’s room went from 27% to 45% fast and easily

One more information: you can have multiple units associate to your account, you can name the rooms as you wish, and share the device with someone’s app (in this case, my husband and I have acess to both devices in our phones).  I love the scheduling function to turn it off and turn it back on. So helpful! You can set up for turn it off at the regular time you live home (M-F) and set up to turn it on within 40 mins before you get back! This save water and also exhaustive tank refills. BTW … refil the tank is a piece of cake, adding water to the top of the tank. I love the light off function and as well the app that controls the unit

I was looking for a humidifier for our bedroom and initially bought a Vornado model. It definitely performed the job, but BOY was it noisy. Not just the distinct continuous whirring of the humidifier, but a periodic GLUG-GLUG-GLUG ever 30mins or so. Really not suitable for a bedroom
