my friend just bought the Lectric XP 2.0 and absolutely loves it alot..bang for your buck champ or save a bit more to get a bit more

Hey, this’ll be my first e-bike, and I’ll be coming from just some random Costco bike. (Infinity Boss.three) 

I want something that’s similar to the Vanmoof S3 or Tenways, but it doesn’t have to be nearly that nice. (obviously) The thing I like about those two bikes is how simple they look, and how they’re focused on just being normal bicycles that happen to have pedal assist, as opposed to some e-bikes that are basically mopeds/motorcycles. 

The only ebike around $1000ish that looks decent is the Lectric XP 2.0, which is nice, but it’s definitely more than I need in it’s speed. (20 mph max is perfect for me) I’d rather spend my money on something more balanced. 

Any suggestions?

Finally, I'm 6'1"+ and ~160 lbs (built like slenderman) so if any taller users have experience with these bikes or others around the same price point that they'd recommend please let me know.

0 is better considering both bikes will need to be upgraded to get more speed. The XP 2.0 is a great starting build. Aesthetically speaking the XP premium is pretty ugly

I have ridden the bike for over 1400 miles now with no problems. The Rad design engineers did a great job balancing component cost, motor capacity, and battery weight. A good commuter bike should be inexpensive, light weight, and have sufficient range for the average commuter. I routinely go on rides between 30-40 miles at 20 mph and return home with over 50% battery capacity

 When you start exceeding 20 mph the bicycle governor lowers the power to the motor regardless of the motor setting. I typically use setting 0 or 1 when riding in town at slow speeds and setting 2 for long distances when I want to move economically at speed. 

 I decided on this model as it was the lightest I could find at any price range. I originally worried about it being single speed but this turned out to be a non-issue. I routinely ride hills up to a 6% grade without difficulty. Freeway overpasses are barely noticeable with assistance

What's up, Bikers, It's Pierce here with Electric Bike Report again and today we have the Rad Mission One from Rad Power Bikes. This is a great value single speed bike coming in around that a thousand dollar price range that has proved to be quite the efficient commuter and overall just a really fun bike for us to ride. So far we've been really impressed with the package they've given us for the price point and we're really looking forward to showing you the nitty-gritty of how good this bike is to see if it's right for you. So with all of that being said, I'm really excited to take you piece by piece through this bike so I'll see you out there

 The electric assist is there to help you, but it's never there to take over and make it feel like you're just secondary to the bike doing its thing. Brad Power Bike stocks the Rad Mission one with an Led display, but I kind of like the simpler display on this. It kind of adds to the single speed feel in my opinion and it just keeps the bike overall very simple. It's focused on the riding versus all the tech that this bike offers

 They're Kenda contact tires and they're 27.5 inches by just under two inches wide. That is kind of the happy median of fast rolling speeds and good cornering. I have never felt like I was on too thin of a tire when I was riding this bike, and when cornering, it did feel like I was very planted around the corner not losing grip at all or anything like that

Rad Power Bikes RadMission 1 Review | City E-Bike (2021)

New to my RadMission, but I gave it a good test ride through the hills of SF. 0 PAS on flat or slight hill feels like a normal bike. For the most part, only PAS 1 or 2 is all you need.

 The Rad Mission is Rad Power Bikes bare bones, simple commuter bike and keeping in mind throughout this review that that is what this bike is meant to be. They've done a great job with it. The styling is nice and simple with great color choices available, but I went for the flat gray when choosing ours. Features on this bike are pretty standard, with not much in the way of fancy or cutting edge parts

 It's a pretty simple bike, only single speed, doesn't have suspension or anything, so there are a couple things I guess I could knock it on, But I mean overall, considering it does only have one speed and no suspension, it rides really well. It feels really well built, it's really solid, and the pedal assist is super smooth. Even though it is cadence sensing, it engages and disengages quickly. Uh, handles really well

Rad Power Bikes Radmission Review - A Simple and Stylish Commuter!

I bought my Rad Mission after test riding several Rad models and other brand’s models. I was looking for an ebike to commute to work so I could reduce my carbon footprint and get some exercise at the same time. 

 I am used to riding a hybrid bike so wanted something with a similar design and feel like I have better control of the handlebars and front wheel with the Rad Mission. I didn’t want a model that was too heavy because I wanted to be able to lift it into our pickup when traveling. 

Mission Accomplished

Ease of operation, nice looking, battery life good, really fun to ride, our terrain is flat, if you are wanting to climb I would have gears, our RadMission has only 1 gear with four pedal assist levels.
