Leatherman Bond
Mixed feelings - not impressed by the new bond. Read more in comments.
I don’t want to bash leatherman at all but I am really disappointed by the quality of the tool, especially comparing it to Victorinox tools (even if the spirit costs about 50$ more). I will stay with my Swisstool and sadly need to carry it on my belt - really was looking forward using the pocketclip of the bond.

Wüsthof Chef's knife
It's a WÜSTHOF - amazing knives…and reasonably priced for the convenience and quality
I'm fascinated by knives, and once I used a Wüstof it outshined any knife for kitchen/general use I've ever had in my hands. The 8" chef's knife is no exception. The ergonomics of it fit my hand well, and I love the tang. I imaging the profile, how it takes and holds an edge, and the maneuverability...

Wüsthof Chef's knife
Did I get a fake?
I think we got a fake. Take a look at the photo. This is supposed to be the red sticker? It looks pink to me. Also, the laser engraving on the blade looks different than the rest that I’ve seen. In addition, there were plenty of scuff marks and fingerprints on the handle. Oh, and it didn’t come in a...

Durability

Leatherman Bond
Its everything you would expect from a leatherman.
This tool is as good as it gets. I use it at work, at home, while hunting and fishing.

Wüsthof Chef's knife
Moving into my first apartment, what are some good BIFL items?
One of the single best household items I own is a good knife. I have one “nice” knife that I take care of and sharpen regularly. (It’s a Wüsthof chef’s knife.) Makes a *huge* difference in food prep, and having a sharp knife is much safer to work with.
I also think getting one (or a few) high-qual...

Blade

Leatherman Bond
Dangerous blade issue
Great tool…almost. For the most part this model is very reminiscent of the original PST, a great compact multitool that’s fairly lightweight and easy to carry in pocket. I’d highly recommend it to anyone if it weren’t for the blade issue. As has been stated elsewhere, the knife blade easily comes lo...

Price/value Ratio

Leatherman Bond
Actually Dangerous
I have several Leatherman multi tools. I love them. Leatherman, however, has never been good with listening to customer feedback. I hope the response to this ABSOLUTELY AWEFUL product will change that misguided mentality. How this product passed the safety testing is beyond me. This tool is actually...

Why one expert cook's been using this chef's knife for nearly 15 years
The Wusthof knife weighs 8.5 ounces. The heaviness of the blade has made it easier for me to tackle jobs that require a bit more heft, like splitting a bone-in chicken breast or chopping up chocolate bars for cookies

Weight

Leatherman Bond
Terrific tool! I recommend it!
I really like this smaller and lighter Bond model! It fits my hand well, especially using the pliers. The tools, including the knife, snap into place well. Personally, I like the fact that there is no locking mechanism on this model. As far as a safety issue with the knife blade goes, it’s no differ...
