I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

 kind of a classic pen. It's been around since 66 and it's got kind of a cult following. so I hope you have been able to learn at least a little bit something about the pen today. so that's my review of the Lummi Mm Out'n Pen

 It's definitely keeping up with me and writes well I don't There's not a lot of line variation, it's just a, you know, regular rounded nib. so it's not like an italic or anything like that that should throw you off. But yeah, overall I like it I Must say I'm very pleased with how this pen writes. Overall very good design

 So just seeing the pen in a box, it's kind of cool how it folds up like that, you know? I Don't know if the boxes would be worth keeping for you, but it's not the worst of pen boxes I've seen out there. but anyway, we don't really care that much about the box. Here is the pen. Now this pen is really kind of a neat design

 we are checking out the La Me Mm fountain pen. This comes in a box at all. The higher-end Lommy is the CP one studio come in the accent this is black kind of. I Want to say it feels kind of like a craft paper covered cardboard type thing

LAMY 2000 Fountain Pen First Impression

Lamy 2000 is just as effective. Smooth nib? They both have it. I found out after using both pens that the Visconti is far too heavy for me.

 (I know there is a stainless steel version of the Lamy 2000, but (1) it's much more expensive, and (2) it doesn't have a window to view the ink level. For me, the stainless steel version is not worth buying.)

  Overall, I am extremely happy with the Lamy 2000. I wish Lamy manufactured a color other than black, so I could keep a couple of Lamy 2000 with me at all times, with different ink colors. (I know there is a stainless steel version of the Lamy 2000, but (1) it's much more expensive, and (2) it doesn't have a window to view the ink level. For me, the stainless steel version is not worth buying

Beautiful pen, great functionality and value

 The pen writes very smoothly. All the time, every time.  So, I have nothing but praise for the Lamy 2000.  The vendor was also worthy of praise

 The price was great. And the pen was delivered a full week sooner than I expected. At this price, if you are looking for a fountain pen you can't go wrong. In fact, this is as good, or better than many pens twice or three times the price

I work from home, but right now my Lamy 2000 is the only pen I allow out of the house, not only because it’s a solid writer but also because it’s solidly built, and so I’m not afraid of banging it around. My Pilot Custom 823, on the other hand, is like the One Ring…and they all wantsss My Precious for themselves. But it is mine, I tell you.

I know expensive is relative but for me a $100+ pen would be expensive and I don't think I've ever paid more than $30 for a pen.  But I might one day want a nice Pilot or something.  I'm sort of a clutz and I would hate to lose a really nice pen like that and most of my writing is not at home so what do people do with their nice pens?

Full disclosure - I recently put a Metro through the clothes washer and completely ruined the nib, so...yeah.

Do you EDC your "expensive" fountain pens?

Given the great reviews I had high expectations but I don't want to keep on twisting my arm to keep on writing with this pen. I am glad it works for other people, but it's not for me. The problem lies with the grip (sometimes called "section"). My first impression was annoying metal protrusions that help secure the cap in place

I find myself searching for a spot where they are not felt. This is briefly mentioned by Brian Goulet on a video review of the pen, where he says these protrusions "may bother some people

The Pelikan m400 is a much smaller pen than the Lamy 2000. This could be a pro or a con, but it’s something to be aware of. Personally, I actually prefer the m200 over the m400, even though it’s a steel nib it writes with a little more bounce as smaller Pelikan gold nibs are pretty firm. I enjoy my Lamy 2000, so I would recommend it between the two but at the end of the day I think they’re both nice pens and it’s your money

What would you choose in between Pelikan M405 and Lamy 2000? (M nib for both)

5, Sailor Pro Gear (F), Jinhao Shark (EF), Kaweco Sport (M), Asvine Senior General (EF), Asvine Black Forest (F), Asvine Blue Forest (F). My Noodler's Ahab (Flex) never dries up in fact it's supper wet and it burps ink like. Probably my fault for eyedroppering it but I was feared the flex needed a lot of ink capacity.  

I use my fountain pens for journalling, but I'm not a very consistent writer. Sometimes I forget and go a month or two without touching my pens, and by then all the ink in the pen (I use converters) has dried up.

Does anyone have any recommendations for pens that can sit with ink in them for an extended time and not dry out? I know that the TWSBI Eco is good for that but I was wondering if there are any others. (Preferably not costing hundreds of dollars, but hey if it's nice and works I might have a grail pen to consider!)
