Lamy 2000 is just as effective. Smooth nib? They both have it. I found out after using both pens that the Visconti is far too heavy for me.

Is that worth it? Maybe. But if 1oz is really that important, a disc brake bike probably isn't the right rig for you.

The price was great. And the pen was delivered a full week sooner than I expected. At this price, if you are looking for a fountain pen you can't go wrong. In fact, this is as good, or better than many pens twice or three times the price

Pelikan 140 with a stenographer nib. Probably won't get one though. It's hard enough to find them in the states, more so at a price I'd be willing to pay. I really like how they look, but I haven't been impressed with Pelikan nibs enough to justify their hyper inflated prices
