I got my jam buddy one for Christmas and I've been nothing but impressed by some of the sounds that come from that thing

I need a good gift suggestion for fathers day. This is his current set up minus a minibrute, a nuetron, 2 kastles, a few pocket operators.

 I did not power it on until a month ago, because my wife and I bought a house. Music was not on my to-do list. I have tried everything, Korg MIDI driver install, Librarian install, about a dozen different USB cords to connect, and I get the same result, NO CONNECTION. I took the unit apart, soldered a USB C connector in place of the original, and tried USB C cords

Korg has driver issues. I have tried connecting to the Volca Sample 2 with both my Windows 10, and my Mac. Same exact issue occurs, no connection. Even after purchasing new usb cords that support data and charge, no luck

Compromised review. 5 Star for Austin Bazaar, 1 star for Korg. 3 Star for unit after modifications.

Go with the volca Bass and Volca Drum. Basically I want to ape on Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb as well. The sound engines on those will get you where you want to go real quick, and the sequencers and general interface are way easier to navigate.

I’m totally new to synths and want to get me a PO to try to get a 80s sound like Nitzer Ebb, Front 242, DAF,… but in a minimal setup, that i also can use outdoors.

i would like to combine it with my Korg NTS-1.

Also maybe use some voice with the PO-35 speak?

 I would have given it a 5 if it was full poly but hey, can’t get it all for this price point.

Insane amount of fun, very well-designed device that has a large amount of flexibility and heavy sounds (plus you can add your own). The filters and tweaks are great, it was hard to be disappointed with such an inexpensive and magical instrument.

I really wanted to like this. The sounds is so good. One of the best I've heard. But the sound is cutting out on me when I use the coaxial input

Doesn't work with coax input

  The E30 can draw operating power over its USB connection but the IPhone doesn’t put out enough amperage, so I needed to use the DC power port connected to a standard 12v receptacle.  Size is compact enough to fit in the (very shallow) center console of my 2012 Corvette with enough room for the various wires and cables, and the remote.  Out of the box it outperformed the similarly priced DragonFly, which had sounded fine to me but by comparison sounded much thinner and less open. The mids from the E30 were brighter and more prominent at first but they smoothed out with a little playing time

I bought the E30 to use in the car, to play streaming Hi Res audio (Amazon Music HD). I’d previously used a DragonFly Red, but it’s limited to 96khz/24 Bit Depth. That covers a big chunk of Amazon’s current Hi Res (Ultra HD) library but there’s some 192/24 material in there as well. The DragonFly down-converts to 96/24, but I wanted to be able to play 192 tracks native

  Overall a fantastic addition to the car’s audio system, and a good universal purpose portable DAC in general.

 Bass extension was improved over the DragonFly, and the sound overall is more detailed and open from the E30.  The unit itself feels solid and well built. For some reason in my application the display reads “192” regardless of the actual track sampling rate, but the difference between 24 Bit 44.1, 96 and 192 is obvious
