I regret that and regret not getting another Miele, which I probably will now. I absolutely do not like this vacuum. It's cheaply made, heavy, bulky, loud and frustrating to use. I do not recommend

Not too hard to push around, there was a little resistance but way better than my old one. It seemed to do an incredibly well job at cleaning the carpet, I could tell a second pass through would have been pointless.

Suction

Very disappointed

It vacuumed the carpet well with good suction although, it was hard to tell if it vacuumed the floor well without lights. Very disappointed in this vacuum so I returned it. I ordered a replacement motorized head for my old shark navigator so I’m very happy now. The new vacuums are made with cheap flimsy parts

I got this for carpeted stairs, it is super.

The cord needs to be longer but will work in any room 25-30 feet wide or smaller. Many complain the floor tool door opens up and, yes it does when you press the button. This happens when you touch the hose to the button or when you pick up the canister and touch the button. You have to be aware of where that button is and avoid touching it

Then it comes with your traditional floor tool with a carpet/hardwood switch. It has a power adjustment switch and the power button is on the handle, which is surprising because there usually is a stomp button on the canister that turns on the vacuum cleaner.

You may need to remove (cut out) the protective cover on the blower port to gain volume of air.
