 You got the good nice beer. Take your knife out safety. First, keeping the sheath pop it over it opens works, nice and easy, and for the wire breaker it needs to be a piece of wire. That'S tight, say: you came across some chicken wire or some barbed wire put that right on there and just twist it till its thing

 That'S another reason for the bare bones and stuff like that: just makes it lighter and it's a well very well balanced in the hand and for everything they do make some Mercado handle set for this. But it cost like just as much as the knife, which is kind of ridiculous if you're gon na make some handles for a knife, make them maybe half of the price or something like that and somewhat reasonable. It'S just come on. It'S ridiculous

 Now you can see i've added some micarta scales to mine that i've just gone over with some boot polish and a little bit of wax just to seal them off. I'Ve also added a piece of paracord down here at the bottom.  These need to be the waterproof kind, just in case this thing ever got wet just some band-aids. For the time being, and along with that fire making kind of theme we have going here, just got one of those fire starters from bigfoot bushcraft, really like these things, and the fact that it's waterproof is really neat and you get a great burn time. Out of these things, so that's all for inside of this pouch again i wanted to keep this nice and compact and i really wanted to have that functionality where i could just take this thing right off. Well, as you know, you've got options and that's what i like so there you have it

 I had one a while back and traded it with my brother, and i decided that i wanted to pick one up again, because i found myself just missing now. I'Ve done some really cool modifications to this one.  These are made in the USA. The sheath is a polymer sheath. The knife fits in there very nicely. You have several eyelets here on the sheath

 It'S a drop point blade. It'S got a full flat ground blade grind on there and it's just got some lashing holes here in the butt end, and one forward here also around the coil that you can utilize to a fix this to a spear. You can make a shaft in the field. You turn it into a spear and you'd be surprised at what this little knife can actually do

Ka-Bar Becker Necker BK11 Neck Knife Review | OsoGrandeKnives

 The knife is sharp however it is not razor sharp and the angle of the cutting edge is different on both sides. It could be fixed with some serious sharpening but i am very disappointed with Kabar for doing such a horrible job with the blade. Other than the blade, you can't go wrong for the price and it gets any small job done such as cutting rope, whittling, carving, cutting food ETC.

 The sheath is decent quality but i would much prefer kydex. Now the reason why i gave this knife a 3 star rating is because the company did a terrible job with sharpening the knife. The knife is sharp however it is not razor sharp and the angle of the cutting edge is different on both sides. It could be fixed with some serious sharpening but i am very disappointed with Kabar for doing such a horrible job with the blade

Not bad for the price

 This knife is obviously not made for stabbing, its not going to penetrate through flesh and bone like a 7" KA-Bar would. It is quite effective at everything else I could test it on such as chopping and cutting. Though it does take effort to stab into things with this beautiful blade, it will definitely get the job done if needed. I hope this review helped you to make a decision on this purchase

Not bad. Gets the job done.

 You know if you're in the survival type mindset, you should really worry about being in shape, because you know if you have to walk a distance or walk aways and you're not in shape or haven't done it with a pack on your back. You know you could be in for some serious hurt and I know some of the days that I eat go out and I carry a large pack with me and you know I'm sore the next day and I try to get out here as much as I Cannot only for the exercise but just to just to have my gear on my back and see what I can handle and see what you know. I need to change whether it's making my back lighter or changing things around in it to make it more comfortable. On my back, so it's extremely important to just get out and start testing your gear, and these things are blooming everywhere

  I'm extremely hard on my tools. I was a little hesitant in purchasing this knife at first because for the price, I wasn't sure if it could stand up to the abuse I was going to put it through. I don't believe I've come close to damaging it and I've put it through quite a bit. Much of the black powder coating has been scraped from the blade so far, but there has yet to be any spots of rust on the exposed 1095

I live in a fairly dry place, Reno, NV, so that probably explains a lot of that but at the same time, I wear this knife under my shirt, next to my skin, hanging from my neck for the entire day every day

 I also work in Tahoe so I do spend a fair amount of time in a more humid environment on a regular basis. I've hammered this blade through dry wall, cutting chunks out as I go, cut though coax cable with it, pryed on a door to pick my way past it, pryed on numerous other things with it, opened wooden crates, have used it on countless fruits and vegetable, and just about everything else you could imagine having or wanting to cut over a 9 month span of your exciting life. The blade has held up quite well.  Last but not least, I made three very small additions to the sheath that I personally find quite valuable
