It seems good because it fits within the dimensions of personal item whilst having a decent volume, is women specific and lightweight. I like that it has a sternum strap but doesn't have a hip belt as I find hip belts to get in the way and not needed for lighter loads.

What is your personal item bag? Would you recommend it?

 I wish the strap were a little longer though. I’m about 250lbs and I wanna wear it across my chest like all the cool kids are doing, but I’m guess I’m just too fat to look good in Jansport’s book. Or like, an optional longer strap that I would buy for an upcharge even, whatever. We’re in the ‘Eat our Feelings Great Depression’, not the ‘Starvation Conditions Great Depression’

I just wish they would last longer... and honor their lifetime warranty.

 This was a problem because of the content of the pack.  (I cut the second pull tab off, leaving the slider body intact. Now for each compartment there's a single pull tab and zipping/unzipping happens in the same direction.)

Had to modify it to make it useful

 Has two pockets, the main large pocket, and the smaller front pocket. Both have ample room and easily carry my wallet, keys, sunglasses, chapstick, etc. The belt part is comfortable and easily adjustable. I highly recommend this pack for anyone who wants to be comfortable and have an easy way to embarrass your teenagers while walking around the mall shopping for a homecoming dress

 is a gem (this is a recent purchase, and I recommend, in for a penny in for a pound, get the "grippy" Horween leather add-on). Both are in near-waterproof X-pac material. Neither of these are cheap, but the quality is so legit.

I've been looking at slings for a while now but have yet to pull the trigger on one.  I rocked a fanny pack as a kid in the 80s/early 90s but never looked back once I grew out of it.  I struggle a bit with the whole man purse vibe TBH.  As a dad though I frequently find myself in the need for something more than what my pockets can comfortably accommodate without going full blown backpack.  So my question is this for you sling folk:

If you were trying to convert someone to sling bags, which one would you have them try and why?  What sling made you a believer?

A sling to convert a non-slinger

 I Think it just adds to the overall aesthetic of the pack. Nice that it's kinda got this hole in there. They Look pretty minimal and almost like, kinda sci-fi-ish. And Then on the sides here we have YKK buckles

 So Kinda similar to what we have in the back here with that lockable zipper. Got that going on, self-locking zipper. That's a good compartment for headphones or just kinda smaller items that you wanna keep separate from the rest of the bag. And Then you have some YKK buckles going on at the end of the strap here as well that manages the compressing and uncompressing of the front part of this sling bag

 So We have them all in the middle here. There's just kind of a lot going on and it's hard to tell which zipper belongs to which zip. (upbeat funk music) At The time of this review, Mark and I have been testing the CODEOFBELL X-Pod over the course of one month in Detroit and Chicago. Overall We really like the look and feel, all of these smart features going on that allow us to customize the sling based on our needs for carry for that day
