It seems good because it fits within the dimensions of personal item whilst having a decent volume, is women specific and lightweight. I like that it has a sternum strap but doesn't have a hip belt as I find hip belts to get in the way and not needed for lighter loads.

 I wish the strap were a little longer though. I’m about 250lbs and I wanna wear it across my chest like all the cool kids are doing, but I’m guess I’m just too fat to look good in Jansport’s book. Or like, an optional longer strap that I would buy for an upcharge even, whatever. We’re in the ‘Eat our Feelings Great Depression’, not the ‘Starvation Conditions Great Depression’

I just wish they would last longer... and honor their lifetime warranty.

 This was a problem because of the content of the pack.  (I cut the second pull tab off, leaving the slider body intact. Now for each compartment there's a single pull tab and zipping/unzipping happens in the same direction.)

Had to modify it to make it useful

 Has two pockets, the main large pocket, and the smaller front pocket. Both have ample room and easily carry my wallet, keys, sunglasses, chapstick, etc. The belt part is comfortable and easily adjustable. I highly recommend this pack for anyone who wants to be comfortable and have an easy way to embarrass your teenagers while walking around the mall shopping for a homecoming dress

 and yeah, I'll just open that right up. and now you can see the organizer on the inside. So we've got this semi-stiff frame sheet and this really kind of bulks it up. but also it really locks off this organizer section so if I open this up you can see we got this origami style organization

 This is a magnetic fidlock buckle so there's a little pull tab here that enables you to undo it. Um, so if again, if you like fancy materials like this, like Black, Ember is totally your brand. I just think they go all out with materials and things like that and uh, their components as well. The trade-off can sometimes be weight

 At first I was like why the heck is there a giant buckle in here and I was like oh, black Amber loves their materials. So there we go. But actually it's very functional and this is what I'm talking about when I kind of like the dump slings just where you have access to this right away, but since this opens clam shell. if you're wearing like waist pack style or sling style, you open this up

In this review, we’ll be taking a look at what Black Ember brings to the table with its TKS (Tech Kit Sling), which is a hybrid between a sling and a tech pouch. You can probably already spot a few familiar features from the photo above, one of which being the zippers, but there’s much more to unpack. If you’re a fan of Hypalon, Fidlock, and just great materials in general, the TKS delivers in spades. 

 Near the bottom of the frame sheet is a Hypalon pen loop that holds well thanks to how grippy the material is. The downside is it’s not stretchable for bigger pens like permanent markers.

With its strap tucked back into the back panel, the TKS looks less like a sling and more like a tech pouch. It’s a clean look that keeps your desk less messy when it’s fulfilling its role as a one-stop pouch for all your tech goodies. Whether it’s across your black rain shell or sitting on your desk, the TKS fits in well. 

The TKS has a somewhat boxy, pill-like profile that doesn’t stand out too much, instead opting for a more subdued aesthetic. The black Microhex HTX fabric—the only available color at the time of writing, by the way—is contrasted only by the more zipper elements running across the front and the top of the main body. Squint a bit, and the Hypalon zipper pulls almost resemble whiskers—all of which have Black Ember branding on them. They’re tastefully applied, however, and not in-your-face by any means
