I left a 4 Star review as I don't want something that isn't a performance or reliability issue to skew the ratings of this product. This is the second 5900X I have ordered in a week. The first one came in a box that was in pretty bad shape, that, I did not mind so much. Once I broke the seal and pulled out the CPU to check the pins, I noticed there was staining and scuffing on the lid of the CPU

The Intel 8700K gets a little hotter and more power hungry than we would like, but that was somewhat expected with the bump up in cores. What we didn’t expect as a pleasant surprise was the ease of overclocking the processor to 5.1GHz, not to mention the relatively low-impact of doing so.

Extra 65 Watt should be for GPU and no need to have a CPU burning 170W. I do not see any additional power over 5900X being useful at additional wattage. 6900XT and 5900X is warming up my room pretty high already. It became uncomfortable during Summer
