If you're aware of it, it's not difficult to avoid, but still not great. The main compartment has a good laptop pocket, but is otherwise undifferentiated. Stuff gets kind of lost in the space underneath the smaller secondary pocket.

going to get another north face backpack which i’m hoping it lasts me at least 2 or more years.

The first year it held up quite well and still looked nice with some minor scratches and also good to note that if scratched it's there forever. The second year it was still fine but I began to see some stitches become undone and as of now the problem has only gotten worse. The straps that connect to the backpack are now ripping off and there are lots of stickes undone. I don't know if it's because of my heavy use or just time maybe even workmanship

It broke on my first trip. The chest straps are attached to the backpack straps with plastic clip things. Kind of hard to describe. Mine broke when I put my backpack on top of my rolling carry-on suitcase, and used the chest strap to secure it on the pull-out handle

I was expecting to be able to use this as my tech backpack, but I was surprised by how incredibly small it is, especially for the cost. Still considering returning it. If you have a larger laptop, or a good amount of gear to carry, stay away from this one.

True to color, came with North Face tags on it (read reviews before buying and some people received their backpack without North Face tags). Size is good, pictures made it look bigger/more roomy so kind of disappointed that it wasn't as big as I was thinking. I take a commuter train to work and was looking for a backpack that would hold all my stuff so I wasn't fighting my purse, a lunch box and a jacket. Comfortably fits my wallet, keys, lunch containers and my Bible in the laptop pouch

-The zipper track for laptop should be reversed because if you don't pay attention, you might scratch your expensive laptop. -No pass through to put the bag on a roller bag suitcase -I doubt most will fill the bag due to the internal volume constraints to need the sternum and shoulder adjustment straps. Removing them would have made a cleaner design.
