 Icelandic Pioneer 109. This is a great all-around

 ski. With 109 at the waist you can really do pretty much anything on the

 mountain except for your 2 feet of snow let's say.

 It weirdly likes the hard packed snow for being as wide

 as it is with it's full sidewall. It really holds a great edge.

 It likes those medium turns, you can get some quick ones and some bigger ones out of it

 too though. With the tip rocker on it as well,

 it makes it really easy to get in and out of turns and glide up on that soft stuff.

 Definitely directed for your intermediate to expert

 There's really not much tail rocker back there whatsoever. Just a tiny little bit of rise in this ski, but then very squared, flat tail, inspired by a race ski for sure. And then up here in the tip, we get a little bit more tip rocker than tail rocker, really helping to smooth out turn initiation. Just gives this ski a really good tip in performance

 You don't see it in the sidewall construction. The construction of this ski is a little bit different than those TI80 and the Bold models. And the performance of this ski is kind of relying more on tri-axial fiberglass that's woven through the ski. Very proven material in skis, gives good vibration damping, good torsional stiffness, but doesn't have the weight of metal

 But with ski performance, it's not really that cut and dry. Sometimes you really have to think about the intention and the performance of each model and think about what's right for you, what's most beneficial for you as a skier. And I think there's a lot of people out there where this ski is going to be more beneficial than those stiffer, heavier skis. So that's the S-Force FX80 from Salomon

 It doesn't feel like it needs to go like 40 miles an hour to come alive. It performs really well at moderate speeds, on moderate pitches, stuff like that. So say you're exploring the whole mountain and you don't ski super, super fast, this may actually be a better choice, even though you know, it's not at the top of the line. I think sometimes as consumers, it's easy for us to think like, that one's the best because it's at the top
