I think if your hands are slightly smaller than mine (1-2cm) you’ll like this mouse a lot. Finger positioning is good (two-three, two-two might be a little uncomfortable). Keep in mind I did not use the original Xornet or Spawn so I cannot provide a point of reference from there.

**Shape/Coating:** The shape of this mouse is low at the front while relatively flat which then dips in the middle and has an extended lower back. I am going to preface this with the fact that I am a palm grip mostly. I've seen criticism over the large "hump" of this mouse and that may factor in if you have smaller hands. I do not. It is a slight adjustment to how you maybe hold or grip the mouse from other mouses but within 10 minutes I was popping heads like I never have

+Middle click on the mouse-wheel works great without lurching the wheel around like other mice I've used recently -cough-EVGA-cough- Cons: -Sized awkwardly, the way the grip is designed it encourages your fingers toward the middle of the mouse instead of straight forward. Main clicking finger will wander to the side of the scroll wheel. -The back-button is placed exactly where I place my thumb for claw grip so it gets hit accidentally pretty regularly. -Texture on the side is a bit smooth, meaning you will need to grip tighter that you would expect

This is where my positivity ends. My issue with the MZ1 starts with the right side of the mouse. Unlike the generous comfort grooves on the left and front of the mouse, the right side is straight. This isn’t a problem in relaxed fingertip grip where your ring and pinky finger are either straight or in the areas where there are no mouse holes

This is a great mouse and super-comfy to use. I use it for a combination of recreational gaming and for business use for my small business. I love the fact that I can charge it on my dual Qi charging pad that I keep on my desk, I put it next to my phone when I get done for the night and it tops up for the next day. I have the hyper-x Alloy origins keyboard as well, and I like that I can use one app to set up both of these peripherals

Whenever I lift up my mouse, there is a slight breeze of air that cools my sweaty hands, which feels satisfying. The shape of the mouse is perfect. I have medium-sized hands, and this mouse feels comfortable and perfect. I can easily palm grip this mouse comfortably

The Haste includes a lithium-ion polymer battery which promises up to 100 hours of life. That’s decent, though it’s a little less than the Alienware Tri-Mode Gaming Mouse's 120 hours and pales in comparison to productivity mice like the Razer Pro Click, which offers 200 hours over a 2.4GHz connection.

Edit 2: With the led’s at 100% on a single color it lasted around 15 hours before the lights turned off and scroll wheel flashing red to indicate low battery. I never felt any loss of performance as the battery drained to this point with 6% charge left.

For context, I'm coming from a Redragon Cobra M711 and I didn't want to spend the extra $10 on a Glorious Model O. And to be honest, I'm absolutely glad I went for this mouse. Pros: - This mouse is SUPER light. it's as light as a Finalmouse while being significantly cheaper

And lastly they're both too light. My Viper Ultimate is actually scuffed on one side and good on the other but it's still too light

The mouse has been good for my claw grip for the few weeks I’ve had it. The onboard dpi button makes it easy since you just have to remember the 4 stages which you can change in the software and their corresponding color which changes on the scroll wheel. It’s slightly lighter than the g pro super light but has a back that’s shorter so it feels considerably smaller. Uses USB-C and the battery life has been great

**con:** The big con for me was that this mouse has a dpi deviation of around 20% at 800dpi in the software for me. You can work around this problem and set the dpi down to 750dpi in the software to achieve a deviation of around 3%. I have tried an unofficial firmware update to the version V1104 which got me to a dpi deviation of 8%.

This mouse is nice for handling; it’s comfy, sleek, and sturdy. However, the scrolling wheel was wonked out when I started using it. Totally out of calibration. I contacted the company though, HyperX, and they were able to replace the model

So i have been using this mouse for about a week and half and I have very few complaints. It really is a top tier mouse for the money. The scroll wheel feels so nice and clicks are nice and crisp. The build is fantastic for a 60 dollar mouse and of course you get that rgb which is always a plus

The official, stable release does not list the Surge as a supported model, but it IS in fact fully supported. The stable release is the software you want, because it functions exactly the way any RGB customization software should: It lets you save profiles to the firmware, can be minimized to the system tray, etc. Bearing all of that in mind, watch out for the Windows Store beta release of the software - This is the release you want to avoid like the plague. It does not save color profiles to the firmware correctly, and cannot be minimized to the tray, meaning that you will have to keep the window open in the taskbar to make your color profiles work

Firmware: Changing the DPI is actually _really_ intuitive, although you can't really do it on the fly as it involves lifting the mouse off the pad, holding down both mouse buttons until you see the cursor bounce, then using L/R to adjust the DPI (which causes the cursor to bounce to indicate what DPI your at in multiples of 100), then lifting the mouse and holding both buttons again until the cursor bounces N times, where N is your chosen DPI / 100.
