 Btw, there is no ThinkPad that can compete with M1 Macbook battery life. It's on its own class of machines. (ARM)

I love my x270, absolutely adore it.  

However I'm on the lookout for something more modern and It would be really nice for the laptop to last around 10 hours or maybe even more.. 

There is the t14 p14s e14, x1 nano etc. But everyone is reporting 7-8 hours of battery life from what I've noticed. 
Haven't noticed any modern ThinkPads being able to compete with an m1 MacBook for example or  regards to battery life.but hell if I'm buying a Mac those things break even if you look at them. 

I could get a t480 with the 72wh battery ofcourse.. But I really would like MORE cores than four..

So, which modern Thinkpad would you guys recommend?

I'd go with the macbook air, I prefer the size and the screen is a lot better than the standar 768p screen on the x250. I believe the thinkpad version of that macbook would be a 2nd gen thinkpad x1 carbon.
