HP is an American company that specializes in office equipment, mainly printers, desktop computers, and laptops. They have a decent selection of monitors, which are mainly focused on productivity to compete against Dell. However, they also have a few gaming monitors in their OMEN lineup, which we've tested. They're not the highest-end monitors, but they're not expensive either. If you're just getting into the gaming world and don't want to spend much on a reliable first monitor, an HP display is generally a safe bet. They have monitors with IPS, VA, and TN panels, so the picture quality and performance depend on which model you get. They have two 240Hz monitors that we've tested, the HP OMEN X 27, which has a TN panel, and the HP OMEN 27c, which has a VA panel with a better contrast ratio.

As HP has a limited selection of gaming monitors, and they're only standard 16:9 monitors, there's a chance you won't find what you need from HP, especially if you want an ultrawide display. However, they do have ultrawide office monitors if that's what you need. Their stands offer limited ergonomics, so they're hard to place in an ideal viewing position or if you need to turn the screen for co-op gaming. On the plus side, the gaming monitors tend to have fantastic motion handling, and combined with the low input lag and high refresh rates, they're great for gaming.

 Sadly, for photo editors, it has limited coverage of the adobe rgb color space. A high refresh rate is important for gaming. It allows the image to be drawn on the screen faster, which makes it more responsive, and if the monitor supports variable refresh rate, then you can get a smooth experience without tearing, regardless of the changing frame rate. The standout feature of this monitor is its 240hz refresh rate

 So there's no inverse ghosting, however, like most va panel monitors, it has a slow response time in dark transitions, which leads to black smearing with dark objects. If the frame rate drops when you're gaming, then once again, the response time remains quick. At 60hz, we actually recommend setting the overdrive setting to level 2, because the higher levels have too much overshoot. This means you might have to change the overdrive setting if the frame rate of your game drops

It also has incredible gradient handling, with almost no signs of banding in any shade.

It's a great gaming monitor with an outstanding response time, wide viewing angles, and low input lag for a responsive gaming experience. It supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, which is great if you have an Xbox Series X or a PS5, as it supports 4k @ 120Hz gaming from those consoles. It also supports FreeSync variable refresh rate technology, ensuring a nearly tear-free gaming experience.

Sadly, it has disappointing reflection handling, so it's not a great choice for a very bright environment with lots of windows. It has the same 4k resolution as the Gigabyte M32U, but the main difference is that it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, so you can reach 4k signals up to 120Hz with chroma 4:2:2 instead of chroma 4:2:0 that you get on M32U, so text in game menus looks clearer.

It has all the gaming features you expect to find in a high-end gaming monitor. It has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth with a 160Hz panel so you can reach high frame rates, and it has VRR support that works with the PS5. Motion is extremely smooth when gaming at 120Hz and 60Hz, and the input lag remains low no matter the resolution you're gaming at. It has wide viewing angles if you want to use it for co-op gaming so that the image remains accurate from the sides, but you can't swivel its stand.

Sadly, the reflection handling is disappointing as reflections from even moderate light sources are distracting, but it still has great peak brightness if you want to use it in a room with a few lights around. The LG 27GP950-B is the best gaming monitor for Xbox Series X with full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth that we've tested. Although the Gigabyte M32U can still reach 4k @ 120Hz signals without issue, it still requires compression to do so, so if you want a monitor that doesn't need compression, the LG is a great choice. It has a smaller 27 inch screen, but it has an even higher pixel density for sharper images.

Thanks to the full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth and 144Hz panel, it displays any signal from the Xbox Series X up to 4k @ 120Hz, and it supports VRR to reduce screen tearing. Gaming feels responsive thanks to its low input lag, and you won't notice any motion blur behind fast-moving objects as it has a really quick response time at any refresh rate. It has good picture quality because it gets bright enough to fight glare, and it has great HDR peak brightness, so small highlights in games pop.

Sadly, even though it has a local dimming feature, it performs terribly because it's edge-lit and doesn't do much to improve the picture quality. Also, it has bad black uniformity as there's clouding throughout, and blacks also look gray. If you're not going to use the monitor in a dark room, it's the best gaming monitor for Xbox Series X.

The best 4k 144Hz monitor with full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 inputs that we've tested is the LG 27GP950-B. It's an excellent gaming monitor with an incredibly fast response time at any refresh rate, delivering clear motion with almost no noticeable blur behind fast-moving objects. It has an incredibly fast 144Hz refresh rate, and unlike most of the other monitors on this list, you can also overclock it to 160Hz over a DisplayPort connection. However, the max refresh rate is limited to 120Hz over HDMI.

Unlike the Gigabyte M28U and Gigabyte M32U, this monitor's HDMI ports support the maximum HDMI 2.1 bandwidth of 48 Gbps. It doesn't change much for most content, but it allows for more accurate text clarity from some devices, including the PS5. It's also VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified, delivering a decent HDR gaming experience with great peak brightness and an incredibly wide color gamut. It also has a fantastic gradient handling, with no noticeable banding in any shade.

Unfortunately, like most monitors on this list, it's not an ideal choice for a dark room, as it has low contrast and poor black uniformity. It also has limited ergonomics, so it's a bit hard to place the screen in an ideal viewing position, and it doesn't have a USB-C input if you also want to connect a laptop while gaming. Besides that, it's the best 4k monitor with full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth.

LG is an international electronics company whose headquarters are in South Korea. It's one of the few brands that makes both TVs and monitors, so they have expertise with displays. Although their TVs are known for the OLED panels, LG tends to use IPS panels in their monitors, which don't have the same burn-in risk as OLEDs, so you won't have to worry about damaging the screen after long periods of use.  It'S basically the same between the two generations of lg monitors and no different to the other 4k 144 hertz monitors that we've looked at there's a 5 watt difference between best and worst at a similar size, which is negligible for real world use.  I may just be the unluckiest but I've seen others having similar issues as well with this brand. So if you could get this monitor without any of the problems I had, it's a decent monitor for its price.

 I'd say for most, the M28U is good enough for such a value at $600. For me, I'm going to give it a week or so but I'm highly leaning towards the LG personally because it just doesn't have all the little things that bothers me.

 I also dislike the fonts on the M28U and it has issues of fonts/upscaling ie: just opening My documents as example, the fonts are not as sharp and just weird looking. The LG 27GP950 out the box looks amazing and does not have any of the issues I have with the M28U! The final question.. Is it worth the 300$ difference over the Gigabyte M28U

 Time. They also removed automatic input switching from last year's model for no good reason.  Both of these featured *sort* of worked on the older 27GN950 after a bunch of firmware updates. This "improved" model has regressed in both of those areas to the point where it's less reliable than my $300 Dell junker

A great panel with crippling software flaws

It's not a matter of taste, but rather of usability, since I'm really worried about the Warping and the sides of the Monitor looking Disproportionate to the content at the center of the Screen.

 Read quite a few review indicate that 27 4K is too small need windows scaling. quite a few reviewer against windows scaling. Fact : 27 4K 100% scale is hard to read. despite bad review on window scale

Color accuracy.. sharp... Meh on Local Dimming

 It is just not so frequent.  The monitor mount is not in good design too. I order two of these monitors. The one I post here actually can't reach the same height as another one I bought
