HP is an American company that specializes in office equipment, mainly printers, desktop computers, and laptops. They have a decent selection of monitors, which are mainly focused on productivity to compete against Dell. However, they also have a few gaming monitors in their OMEN lineup, which we've tested. They're not the highest-end monitors, but they're not expensive either. If you're just getting into the gaming world and don't want to spend much on a reliable first monitor, an HP display is generally a safe bet. They have monitors with IPS, VA, and TN panels, so the picture quality and performance depend on which model you get. They have two 240Hz monitors that we've tested, the HP OMEN X 27, which has a TN panel, and the HP OMEN 27c, which has a VA panel with a better contrast ratio.

As HP has a limited selection of gaming monitors, and they're only standard 16:9 monitors, there's a chance you won't find what you need from HP, especially if you want an ultrawide display. However, they do have ultrawide office monitors if that's what you need. Their stands offer limited ergonomics, so they're hard to place in an ideal viewing position or if you need to turn the screen for co-op gaming. On the plus side, the gaming monitors tend to have fantastic motion handling, and combined with the low input lag and high refresh rates, they're great for gaming.

I use g-sync enable we're gon na test it out with juice incompatibility, so we're gon na check that box right there and then we've got the omen. 27.  My hundred-percent recommendation on this thing comment below what you guys want to see from me in the full review and what you want to hear about specifically pertaining to this monitor.  Oh gee, every time in video comes up with some new graphics, cars or AMD or whoever, whatever your preference is, but just remember, buy stuff for the future, all right back to the rundown, so we got 240 Hertz. 1440P 27 is mine with 1 millisecond response time. As well as HDR, HDR is kind of being tossed around right now, so we're gon na see if this is real, HDR not but um yeah, I'm pretty excited to see how this monitor looks.  Unfortunately, it's not ideal for office work because it has narrow viewing angles, and its stand offers limited ergonomic adjustments. Also, while the 1000R curved screen is good if you're sitting directly in front of it, it's not ideal for co-op gaming.

 Don'T look washed out, unfortunately, because this monitor uses a va panel. It has narrow viewing angles and the image looks washed out from the sides. You quickly lose color accuracy as you move off center, and the screen also looks darker. We don't suggest using it for co-op gaming

 Sadly, for photo editors, it has limited coverage of the adobe rgb color space. A high refresh rate is important for gaming. It allows the image to be drawn on the screen faster, which makes it more responsive, and if the monitor supports variable refresh rate, then you can get a smooth experience without tearing, regardless of the changing frame rate. The standout feature of this monitor is its 240hz refresh rate

 So there's no inverse ghosting, however, like most va panel monitors, it has a slow response time in dark transitions, which leads to black smearing with dark objects. If the frame rate drops when you're gaming, then once again, the response time remains quick. At 60hz, we actually recommend setting the overdrive setting to level 2, because the higher levels have too much overshoot. This means you might have to change the overdrive setting if the frame rate of your game drops

If you want to get the most out of your NVIDIA graphics card, then check out the Dell Alienware AW2721D instead. Unlike the Samsung Odyssey G7 LC32G75T, it has native G-SYNC support, ensuring a tear-free, consistent gaming experience, even when the frame rate from your source is fluctuating. It also has an IPS panel, resulting in much better viewing angles, so it's better for co-op gaming. Its stand has great ergonomics and multiple zones of RGB bias-lighting. It's exceptionally bright in SDR, so viewability isn't an issue even in a bright room. Sadly, it only supports VRR over DisplayPort, so you can't use those features with HDMI sources, including the Xbox Series S|X.

Overall, the Samsung monitor has a more diverse selection of features and better compatibility with other devices, so it's the better choice for most people. However, if you want to get the most out of your NVIDIA graphics card, then check out the Dell.

The AW2721D is a 240 Hz 1440p monitor with an IPS display. This monitor is awesome for pretty much everything including gaming and creating content.

 The downsides? Well, it's expensive and extremely heavy.

 Well, we see whether picking one up is worth it, both physically and financially of course.

 Dell provided the monitor for the purpose of this review, but they don't get any input on this video's production.

 If you like 1440p, this monitor's specs are f***ing insane, right?

 Well, I couldn't have put it any better. We're looking at a 240Hz IPS display with a 1440p resolution.

 This were extremely impressive specs back when Trout got his sample, but even a few months later, there are only a handful of monitors that can keep up with that.

 Now, it's not surprising that a monitor like this doesn't come cheap.

 At the time of making this video, it costs around $800 US, which of course might change in the future or depending on your region.

 In terms of price per pound, this definitely isn't a bad deal, because this thing is insanely heavy.

 By all means, this is not a monitor you'd want to carry to events or take to your friends.

 Also, its stand is pretty large and takes up a good amount of space on your desk.

 However, this big and heavy stand allows the display itself to almost overhang towards the front.

 Despite the large footprint, this allows us to get the screen pretty close without the stand getting in the way of the mouse or keyboard.

 When I first saw the big stand, I thought getting good ergonomics would be a nightmare, but actually the opposite is true as long as your desk is deep enough.

 In terms of adjustability, it leaves nothing to be desired.

 Height can be adjusted from extremely low to very high and tilt also provides a ton of adjustment range.

 The display can also be swiveled or rotated into portrait orientation for things like coding or reading documents.

 My only gripe is that there's no marking for the center position.

 The pivot adjustment feels a bit mushy, so getting it back to a horizontal position takes some effort.

 Yes, I'm totally nitpicking here, but let's not forget that this is a pretty expensive monitor.
