HP LaserJet Pro M428fdw vs HP Laserjet Pro M29W

Sad to see that they have raised the price to almost $600 for the same piece of equipment. Two years ago this would have been enough for a high end color printer. Definitely not worth $600.

I liked what I saw in the MFP M140we on its Amazon page, I was curious about the new HP+ program, and since the price was definitely right, I pulled the trigger and once again bought an HP laser printer. I am always skeptical about buying HP, which I know is silly. Just go buy another brand. But I don't personally believe other printer brands are much different with all these above listed issues, and therefore, I have always just stuck with buying HP

It prints nice though and fires out a first page quickly. But it should for 800 or whatever we paid for this black and white printer.

Printing from MS office, Google Photos or Adobe Acrobat has been fine from both a PC and Android. Whether these problems are operating system errors or it's the HP printing service, is unknown. But, the bottom line is: The HP printer interface is not robust. Cannon, Epson and Brother print systems have not performed as poorly on these devices

Now this supposedly WIRELESS printer is working because it's connected via an ethernet cable, so it's NOT REALLY WIRELESS. Buyer beware!

However, having a printer this size in your home office can be a bit inconvenient. It just doesn't really fit well on top or under my desk.

Printed a test sheet, then went to the touch screen to set up wireless connection. The touch screen looks small and easy to "fat-finger", but I never hit a wrong character. About 2 minutes max on an easy wi-fi setup. Then I connected three laptop devices, all very simple and self explanatory

It was supposed to be an included option, but was not. I have an RF meter that reads how strong a WiFi signal is. It detected an exceptionally strong WiFi signal with the wireless capacity button in front turned on AND with it turned OFF. Only unplugging the printer resolved the strong RF radiation this printer emits

The ink cartridge that came with the printer is malfuctioning; it won't seat properly and the printer door cannot close, so no printing can occur. Would like to reach out to seller but cannot identify (HP already directed me to do so, before they would help me). Any leads?

I am so excited to not be replacing colored ink that I don’t use every time it dries out in order to be able to even print with black ink which was my experience with Epson and HP.
