HP Laserjet Pro M29W vs Brother MFC-L2710DW

On the ad page it shows that toner "41A" goes with this printer. It does not. It takes toner 141a. Please beware as now I have several backup toner cartridges that I can't return and I have no use for

Yet it cost more than the old office Workforce multi. I am hoping the price difference will be justified by lighter ink usage, but it's too soon to tell. After two months the toner cartridge that came with the printer is already gone; we'll see how long the replacement one lasts—I'm hoping it comes with more ink than they give you in the box.

It was supposed to be an included option, but was not. I have an RF meter that reads how strong a WiFi signal is. It detected an exceptionally strong WiFi signal with the wireless capacity button in front turned on AND with it turned OFF. Only unplugging the printer resolved the strong RF radiation this printer emits

Would give it a 5 star but the Bluetooth has a mind of its own and wants to work or sync when it feels like it. I literally have to turn it on off to print from my devices - iPhone, iPad or computer … if it goes into sleep mode then u have to turn it on and off to work- but it’s quiet and prints great when it does print

Printing from MS office, Google Photos or Adobe Acrobat has been fine from both a PC and Android. Whether these problems are operating system errors or it's the HP printing service, is unknown. But, the bottom line is: The HP printer interface is not robust. Cannon, Epson and Brother print systems have not performed as poorly on these devices

I liked what I saw in the MFP M140we on its Amazon page, I was curious about the new HP+ program, and since the price was definitely right, I pulled the trigger and once again bought an HP laser printer. I am always skeptical about buying HP, which I know is silly. Just go buy another brand. But I don't personally believe other printer brands are much different with all these above listed issues, and therefore, I have always just stuck with buying HP

Annoying and inconvenient. So if you need a printer that can do all your basic office tasks in black and white, I think the Brother monochrome printer would give you the best bang for your buck. This is definitely the type of printer that would be useful for someone who prints a lot of documents, scans sensitive information like ID's or social security cards, and prints postage or mailing labels. I am so excited to not be replacing colored ink that I don’t use every time it dries out in order to be able to even print with black ink which was my experience with Epson and HP.

Which is something I expect from a $60 inkjet and not a Brother laser printer. And here I am buying another one, a refurbished one for $40 less, and adding to the plastic filled hell-scape of the anthropocene yet again.
