For those that play mostly cheesy app based video games and less intense graphical games, you should be good. If you are trying to do some serious Photo-shop, get one with an i7 or i9 processor with a real video card in it with its own video memory. Also, get lots of notebook RAM too (no less than 16gb). A 1 Tera byte Solid State Hard Drive would be a must too

As a light weight laptop, it's a faster version of my 2012 Aspire M With Fingerprint login that is super fast to allow me to login! I tried it out even though I was skeptical and do not trust new things like that and also put in a pass code as a backup, but as long as it works is my motto these days, I'm a new fan! It lets me into my machine instantaneously. You get this option each time the login pops up, so don't worry if you don't want do use the Fingerprint login. I was just being adventurous for my age.

 Also, get lots of notebook RAM too (no less than 16gb). A 1 Tera byte Solid State Hard Drive would be a must too. That is what I upgraded my old laptop to already.

This laptop is huge. But in a good way! I have been using a 7 year-old Mac Book with a 13" screen, so this was an upgrade. A couple of inches of screen size makes a huge difference! Beware when going through initial setup, Cortana is enabled. (Cortana is a voice-activated program similar to other platforms that rhyme with eerie) I found this out the hard way- I turned on the computer and left the room, then heard 'someone' talking! Eek! 

Awesome laptop / tablet combo

  The weight and size are ideal to include the ten-key.  Camera/Mic/Speaker are adequate for Zoom/Teams calls; looks and sounds great - no additional equipment needed.

The Yoga 6 has more battery life than the other 2 and the Dell Inspiron 7000 is 14" instead of 13.3". Also, the Dell has more ports than the Yoga by a large margin. I have the yoga 6 and I love it

 It gets so much battery life and I really don't have to worry about charging it in a day if I happen to use it for most of the day.

I've been looking at laptops, and keep talking myself into and out of decisions so I'm looking for advice. I like the concept of the Surface Pro 8, but I use my computer on my lap a lot, and I'm worried about the ability to do this with the Surface Pro. I've considered the Surface laptops, but my other top options are the Dell Inspiron 7000 and Lenovo Yoga 6.

I have a Lenovo Flex 5 Chromebook which I like a lot, but I really need a new Windows machine. Since I like the Flex 5, I'm thinking the Yoga might be a good choice since it seems similar. 

I'm looking for a minimum i5 (preferably 11th gen) processor or AMD equivalent, 256 gb SSD and I'd prefer 16 gb RAM although my current computers all have 8 gb and I don't have any issues.

I need something easy to take to meetings or traveling, so lightweight and thin is a top priority. I'd also really like touchscreen, but I don't have to have a full 2-in-1 design. 

Open to other suggestions too, but I'd rather stay away from MacBooks.

Surface Pro 8 vs Lenovo Yoga 6 vs Dell Inspiron

. I got the after market one just for sheer convenience of not having something bulky or two pieces, it's easier to travel with and keep my charger that came with it at home. I did buy this straight from Lenovo and I recommend that with all laptops. I buy everything from Amazon except laptops and after 10 years of exclusively using Best Buy for their Geek Squad addon, ice learned nothing beats a manufacturer accidental plan these days

 Battery life is fantastic. I can stay running doing website design or contract paperwork for an entire 8 hour work day on one charge and still have battery life. It charges quick with my 65W after market charger .

In that case something like a Lenovo yoga might serve you well. They have pretty good battery life depending on the model and the keyboards are usually very good.

 Finally it is a wee on the heavy side. I wish I had not bought this and gotten one of the new a HP Pavillion Aero 13. The wobbly screen and brightness are really big problems.

Looking for slight gaming/art laptop.

 And what was different about it versus other budget laptops at the time was its processor. Most laptops back then at that same price point were on Ryzen 4000 series cpus. With something like a 6 core 6 thread processor, the Yoga 6 tended to have a more powerful version with 6 cores and 12 threads. Plus, at the budget price point, it was an attractive, solidly built good laptop
