The system did not prove as well-optimized for video editing, unfortunately. I attempted to run our routine video test (which involves exporting a five-minute, 33-second 4K video) multiple times using hardware acceleration, and Adobe Premiere Pro consistently crashed during the export. Disabling the hardware acceleration in Premiere and relying solely on software got the job done, but it took an hour and 15 minutes. So if you’ll need to be working with Premiere Pro for video on the go, don’t buy this (at least until Adobe fixes that problem)

The thesis of this review is that I have almost no complaints. This is a superb computer, and it’s frankly bizarre that it’s only $800. Don’t buy last year’s Spectre. Buy this

Even more impressive are AMD’s integrated Radeon graphics, which can handle some gaming. I was able to run Overwatch at 1080p at an average of 70fps on Medium and 62fps on High — both were quite playable. (The keyboard did get uncomfortably hot, though). Those results are comparable to what you can expect from a lower-powered discrete GPU like a 10W GeForce MX150

Battery life is also good. With brightness around 200 nits, and with power and fans on HP’s recommended profile, I averaged about eight hours on a charge. That should get you through a workday and is longer than we got with the latest Spectre x360. (Of course, mileage will vary with more demanding tasks

The six-core 4500U is intended to compete with Intel’s U-series Core i5, but its performance is comparable to that of an i7. It flies. Throughout my everyday browsing and streaming, as well as my fairly heavy load of office work that includes around a dozen apps and Chrome tabs with occasional downloads, Zoom calls, editing photos, and copying files, everything was smooth with no sign of slowdown.

I currently have a Surface Pro 4, which is cool, but it's showing it's age now and I'm getting kinda sick of the kickstand situation, lol. I've been eyeing some Thinkpads, Surface Laptops, or even a Macbook Air, but I'm open to just about anything.

Looking for laptop for grad school + photo editing (US $1200)

 You know, they still have that kind of like gold accents with either a black or blue chassis depending on which color you prefer. It's still cut in certain aspects like the corners, but instead of being super duper cut, they've kind of rounded out the edges to give it more of a smooth look. It's about 4.4 pounds, so it's not super heavy, but it's light enough that you could literally travel with it and yes, this does pick up fingerprints, I mean it's black, right? Not as bad as the older Razer Blades, but it's still a black laptop

 The only thing that can be swapped out is the MVME SSD if you want something bigger or different down the road. Now this battery is 83 watt hours and I got seven hours and 50 minutes before needing to charge. That's really good considering there's an H series processor inside of here. So all day battery life is on the table

 So, this is the HP Spectre X360. This was announced late fall of last year, but we just caught the review units now and I still think it's worth a look because HP makes some of the nicest looking convertibles on the market. Now the Spectre lineup is a lot more expensive than the Envy lineup. This is their premium convertible brand or their premium lineup of laptops and look, it's a classy looking piece

The 2022 Hp Spectre X360 is now 16-inches instead of 15. It's still one of the best looking Convertibles on the market and the updates to the design and software make it even better. There's tons of 2-in-1s on the market but this is still one of my favourites.  HP Spectre X360 Review 2022.

HP Spectre X360 16" (2022) Review - The Best 2-in-1 Laptop?

 This was announced late fall of last year, but we just caught the review units now and

 I still think it's worth a look because HP makes some of the nicest looking convertibles

 Now the Spectre lineup is a lot more expensive than the Envy lineup.

 This is their premium convertible brand or their premium lineup of laptops and look,

 You know, they still have that kind of like gold accents with either a black or blue chassis

 It's still cut in certain aspects like the corners, but instead of being super duper

 cut, they've kind of rounded out the edges to give it more of a smooth look.

 It's about 4.4 pounds, so it's not super heavy, but it's light enough that you could literally

 travel with it and yes, this does pick up fingerprints, I mean it's black, right?

 Not as bad as the older Razer Blades, but it's still a black laptop.

 The hinge is a little bit wobbly, which is normal for a convertible just because it has

 to flip, you know, all the way around and so it's not going to be perfectly stiff,

 Like if you're buying this for productivity, you're going to love typing on this thing.

 There's good travel distance, a little bit of keyboard flex, but not a lot to complain

 On the previous model, they had a massive vent on the top.

 They got rid of that and they redesigned it and they put these speaker grills on the left

 When you close it, there's a tiny little gap, so yes, it's a little bit more flexible on

 the lid, but I kind of like this because if you ever dock your laptop, it gives more room

 for air to flow, which I always think is a good thing.

 Now this touchpad is using Windows Precision Driver.

 It is very accurate to use and it feels fantastic.

 It's right in the middle, so the symmetry is great.
