Sound quality is good, although I had to rotate the 3.5 mm pin a little inside Chromecast audio to get sound out of both left and right channels. As soon as you hold the cable in your hand, you can tell that the quality is first class Chinese junk. This cable will work for years if you put it in a place where you never have to see or touch it again

I bought this system (with the stereo speaker) to replace and aging Panasonic mini system that sounded great, but whose aux-in and cd has stopped working. Despite what the market seems to think, some of us listen to a lot of OTA radio, and wanted something that sounded good but could also connect to bluetooth and aux input. The general build quality, design and most importantly sound all get high marks. We turn off the loudness for any spoken word (public radio, podcasts) and turn it on for music because it can be quite loud and booming, plenty for apartment living

I just bought a ground loop isolator so hopefully that will help. I do wish they made versions with 90 degree connections so I can push them closer to the wall and get a little extra desktop space.

The bluetooth works well. Also the remote control is very convenient and has very good functions (bass and treble controls for example). Although it was disappointing for AM which is a majority of my use, it may serve you well if you use it mainly for FM and playing music via the bluetooth. The sound is quite good

Great cable for money. No snake oil or over the top promises. Just the essentials that work and continue to work over time. Oh yea no feedback issues as well

you're getting close to the bottom price point of more elite units Would I recommend the Sangean WR-50P? Sure, if you want good quality radio, you're not playing bass-heavy music, you're in a small room, you never want to put on a CD and you can stash this thing on a higher shelf. But if you have the means .

Newer design extends a narrower metal part of the 3.5mm connection and fits in the small opening on my Samsung S8 phone case (Unicorn Beetle). The extension is not much, but just enough to allow it to make a non-strained connection. And Hosa Cables have lifetime warranty!

This is actually the SECOND Sangean WR-50 FM-RBDS/AM/Bluetooth Wood Cabinet Table Top Radio I bought, as I was so pleased with the first one, and the time came when I needed another radio to cure my listening blues in another room, and there wasn't a second thought as to which one I would consider purchasing The quality incorporated into the radio, along with thoughtful, useful features make it a delight to own. The sound quality is exceptional !! and you have the ability to adjust the tone from both the unit & the remote, which I like very much. The reception for AM & FM (from a guy who lives in a suburb just outside of NYC proper) is pretty good even without an external antenna, but when you add one- WOW! Even Better!!! I know some have bitched about not having a balance control, and yea- that would be a nice to have feature, but given the other bells & whistles this radio offers, and designed more as a table top /counter top radio, where (by design) when paired with the accessory matching speaker if you opt for that, the stereo imaging of the device is pretty sweet, and the accompanying plug to use to match the base unit is (in my opinion) more than sufficient to provide a very enjoyable stereo sound field, for an average size room to casual listening. I really would highly recommend the Sangean WR-50, and have found it to be a pleasure to own, everything from the blue tooth connectivity, to the auto clock synch, the great remote, & preset options which make it easy to set & store a station, are very well designed

I used it into my Samsung Tab 3, and tried to fit it to my LG G3, and it wouldn't even fit in. I'm running this for a moderately sized church, and who ever has my tablet going to their IEMs can hear all of the distortion that comes from this. That isn't nearly as bad as the horrendous sound that comes through the mains. Maybe mine is defective? The amount of great reviews lead me to think so

Lastly, the AM stations do not get good reception and even a local station can get heavy static.
