Sound quality is good, although I had to rotate the 3.5 mm pin a little inside Chromecast audio to get sound out of both left and right channels. As soon as you hold the cable in your hand, you can tell that the quality is first class Chinese junk. This cable will work for years if you put it in a place where you never have to see or touch it again

I saw that video of the guy walking down the street with this thing in his hand like a mini boom-box, headphones on, creating some sort of beat on-the-go. I should have known then that this wasn't quite what I was looking for. I really want to like this thing, but the sounds I am looking for aren't quite there. I mean, they are, but everything is so buried in menus that just when I think I've found what I wanted, I loose it in another instrument

I just bought a ground loop isolator so hopefully that will help. I do wish they made versions with 90 degree connections so I can push them closer to the wall and get a little extra desktop space.

Really nice sounds for a good price. Really surprised by this groove box from Roland. I was looking to improve the quality of my beats and was searching for a nice addition to my Korg M3 and Radias. The sounds are really good and up to date

5 mm or 1/8" stereo ("TRS" or Tip-Ring-Sleeve) headphone plug (the male, pointed part) into the corresponding jack (hole, opening) on any other device that has one (cell phone, tablet, computer, CD player, etc.), so you can then plug the two, 1/4" (or 6.35 mm), "left" and "right" plugs, which are TS (Tip-Sleeve) mono, at the other, or "Y" end, into two jacks of the type found on some equipment (for me it was the JBL LSR 305 powered monitor speakers). So it's a "splitter" or "Y" device; you're splitting one stereo signal into two mono ones

I think this device could seriously use an actual critical review other than a 5-star "it's the best" because that's not 100% true. If you're new to all this stuff, and your ears haven't heard 808 open hats for 20 years, and you want a DAWless experience, I highly recommend this. If you've been around the block and really know what you're getting into, price just doesn't match the value of product IMO -- it's just a very, very fancy toy. I realize you can say that about a lot of things but that's where I'm at with this

Newer design extends a narrower metal part of the 3.5mm connection and fits in the small opening on my Samsung S8 phone case (Unicorn Beetle). The extension is not much, but just enough to allow it to make a non-strained connection. And Hosa Cables have lifetime warranty!

I used it into my Samsung Tab 3, and tried to fit it to my LG G3, and it wouldn't even fit in. I'm running this for a moderately sized church, and who ever has my tablet going to their IEMs can hear all of the distortion that comes from this. That isn't nearly as bad as the horrendous sound that comes through the mains. Maybe mine is defective? The amount of great reviews lead me to think so
