Hosa CMP-159 Stereo vs MOTU M2

Sound quality is good, although I had to rotate the 3.5 mm pin a little inside Chromecast audio to get sound out of both left and right channels. As soon as you hold the cable in your hand, you can tell that the quality is first class Chinese junk. This cable will work for years if you put it in a place where you never have to see or touch it again

I just bought a ground loop isolator so hopefully that will help. I do wish they made versions with 90 degree connections so I can push them closer to the wall and get a little extra desktop space.

The interface showed rising and falling green bars on its LCD screen, which meant it was picking up my mic, but nothing was getting through to Discord or any other software I used. Switching the sample rate and buffer size didn't work and neither did restarting the MOTU software. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable which worked for a few hours before the same problem occurred. Switching to a different USB port seemed to work better, and I didn't have any more problems that night
