First the good. The best part about it is that it’s similar to using an upright corded vacuum cleaner, all of the weight is down on the floor so you don’t have to “carry” the machine around. The battery run time is AMAZING, it really does run for 40 minutes on a single charge, and having the battery indicator is another plus since it takes away any guessing. Being able to stand up on its own is another huge plus as there are a few areas where I need to move something, vacuum, and move things back, this is especially helpful since you don’t have to try and prop it up and have it fall over as with other cordless vacuums

So for the record I live a lone no children in a 1200 sq ft house that is half carpet half hard wood floors. I was able to sweep one bedroom on carpet mode in speed mode before the battery died then had to swap the second one in so I could finish dusting with the attachment. The actual power of the vacuum is strong it did the job but one thing that was driving me nuts was the end attachments spin when locked into place? So if your dusting with the extended reach in the corners of a wall or steps it will keep pushing the nozzle around if your not being super corrective in what your doing. All around this is a bad buy IMO and I'm going to do a return on it and spend the extra on a Dyson

Moreover, the throat on the Linx is narrow, and even small objects would routinely clog the unit. However, they easily fit under the edges of coffee tables and sofas, and the overall feel of the Linx is of higher quality. Meanwhile the Bissell won't fit under anything, the head is far too bulky. In regards to power, the Bissell seems to get the carpets cleaner, and the beater brush is far more aggressive than the Hoover

The Hoover Onepwr Blade+ is an ok vacuum with a very good battery system. Not mind blowing power but it has a price that really makes it a strong value.

The price compared to that of other similar models makes the Bissell a bargain. I shopped for this product by using my subscription to Consumer Reports, where this model was highly rated. It was about 1/3 the price of the Dyson, although the Dyson can convert to a hand held unit and includes tools - - both lacking on this Bissell model. For me, this unit is all I need, and I vacuum much more often because it is so easy (and fun) to use

Direct air or dirty air machines like the Hoover Onepwr Hepa+ and Kirbys air and dirt go through the motor then into the bag. Since the bag is placed after the motor there is no need for an additional filter Hepa or otherwise but many direct/dirty air machines use their outer bag as an additional layer of filtration. As to why they don’t call all their bags Hepa is probably to simplify marketing.

The filter is washable. It comes out of the back end and is made out of foam rubber which I can wash. The filter takes a few days to dry so you need to plan ahead. On the negative side if I need to replace the filter it is not going to be easy

Just remember their filtration isnt going to be the best just clean the pre-motor filter twice a week and the post motor filter monthly. Just don’t expect them to be the main vacuum cleaner, that i’d say get a $350 Henry or Sebo.

You've got to suck all the dust off the big long foam (not HEPA) filter to keep it sucking at maximum suck-tential. This gets real tedious, REAL quick. Want to wash it? Hope you can go a few days without vacuuming, as the felt lining takes at least a solid day to dry completely. Also, quite a bit of crap ends up on the filter

The LG A9 has better filtration but if you want a cheaper option check out the Hoover Onepwr Blade Max currently $275. I don’t think it has a wall mount but it has a swappable battery system so you can add another battery for more run time.

The one drawback is emptying the container. I always have to bring it outside because it's so messy. Dust blows all around, and sometimes it's hard to shake all the hair out. The green sponge filter also gets really full of dust and I can never get it all out

There are better choices out there. The Bissel Lynx is lighter, easier to manage has great suction, and is no mess cleaning it out. Everything easily drops out. No need to stick you hand into it to clean it out

The + feature (this seems to be a suction boost) is the only feature that actually causes any suction on solid surfaces but drains the battery so fast. It works fine on my low pile rug with the brush heater going. It is incredibly difficult to change attachments - especially removing the handle from the long hose. It takes quite of bit of strength to get the pieces apart

Enter the Bissell 1984 Air Ram, it is fantastic and I am thrilled beyond words. This cordless vacuum is so powerful it actually pulls itself across my hard floors and sucks the dog hair to it. Also, the book says it might pull throw rugs up; well, my "throw rugs" are large heavy hand cut wool rugs and I have to be careful on the edges or it sucks them up, and they do not have fringe, I'm talking about my rugs! So you can imagine how well it gets all the dirt and dog hair out of my rugs. Amazing
