 They are not HEPA filters, but they are filters nonetheless. So the air moves through all of that. It then moves through the front of the unit, so the air then moves through the front of the unit and it moves through two outlets. There'S two rectangular outlets, one on the bottom, one on the top

 Most other air purifiers are going to distribute air out of the top of the unit and that's going to allow for better clean air distribution throughout a room and that's why those units are made that way. However, this unit prioritizes moving the air in a certain direction. So that users can use it as a fan and if that's something that you like, if that's something that you're interested in - and that is certainly a positive thing about this unit. What do we not like about this unit by far the biggest problem we have of this unit is the fact that it is not equipped with HEPA filters

 The manufacturer does make certain claims and those claims make it appear as though the filter is capable of doing as much as HEPA or close to as much as HEPA. However, our testing has shown our research has shown that these permanent filters are simply not viable alternative to hepa filtration. If you are at all concerned about getting a high level of particle filtration in your air purifier, this unit will do it, but it will not do it nearly as well as a unit equipped with a HEPA filter. Finally, our last gripe with the unit is the fact that it is a little bit on the expensive side

 So compare this unit to other top-rated units on the market. We do like the fact that this unit can double as a fan. That is something that is going to be useful for a lot of users for a lot of use.  I'm mildly allergic to furry animals and I don't feel anything despite us having a cat at home. I have a smaller air purifier machine from the same manufacturer that has been reliable for years and it also had issues collecting pollen this season. Perhaps this year was a just a bad fluke.  What i like about the nine technologies is this: besides getting rid of pollen viruses, odors and dust, it also helps the immune system work less because you're covering more bases getting more things out of the air nine ways, so the body can rest and recover.  Is what it'll cover so it's kind of a small room, air purifier and so easy math there between the price and square footage. It'S about a dollar, a foot, that's kind of expensive for any air purifier, even one that has more than two technologies and no hepa. So the two filters we just mentioned: uh: it's got a five year, limited warranty. If you have to return it, it's going to cost you the shipping back to the manufacturer, plus you have to send them a check for 15 dollars for them to send it back to you

 Now here's an interesting thing about it: it's not a hepa filter. You do have to replace it every number of years, even though it says permanent, it's not even in their manual that says every three years you've got to change it. One of the things about it is, you can actually see through it. So it's not a hepa filter and it's only going to gather about a tenth as much dust and hair, but as you can see, as i'm looking at the sun here, you can see through the filter

 Pops off inside is a little thin foam piece of foam and that's washable. So that's going to pick up some dust and hair and then you have your honeywell filter. Now here's an interesting thing about it: it's not a hepa filter.  The bottom of the fan has an illuminated LED light strip which can be turned off. The fan motor has 5 speeds, of which the motor is stable on all 5 speeds, it does not start to make creeking noises on any of the higher levels. This air purifier is more efficient than a Hepa style of air purifier, that is because air freely flows through the electrostatically charged collecting grid, compared to a Hepa air purifier, in which air is forcefully pulled through a Hepa filter, requiring more power to operate.

The motor in this air purifier turns on a ball bearing, this is a lot better than a standard fan motor, which turns on a lubricated hub. The electrostatic collecting filter is not made out of aluminum, which is what I had suspected, but it is made out of plastic, making it completely washable. I did not even know that plastic could be statically charged. The buttons on the top of the unit are all touch style buttons, except the power button, which is a press button

Hi, I've seen nice and affordable Xiaomi air purifiers but they don't seem to be sold here in the US. I wonder if there are similar branches here, with similar price range and features.

All recent Xiaomi air purifiers have app and laser dust sensor. These two features seem to be very rare in the air purifiers sold in US. I'm not sure why, they seem like simple features to have.

The ones I'm using are very loud and don't seem to work for the room size they stated. I turn them on all day but dust is still everywhere in the air.

Please suggest some good air purifiers to buy in US, which have apps and laser sensors.

 Xiaomi was showing half the values of Philips at the beginning then settled to zero. I took a blanket and shook it well just between the devices. Philips went crazy to values over 200 but Xiaomi did not even budge!!! Overall, what is the purifier for if you do not know what the values are and whether it actually cleans the air. I would recommend to choose other device
