The user interface, however, with the combination of soft buttons on the face and hard buttons around the clock edge, is probably one of the non-intuitive alarm clocks I've ever dealt with. Many of the symbols on the buttons just didn't seem to have any relationship to their functions, nor were the physical locations of the buttons intuitive either. This of course sent me running for the manual, whose snarky writing style I ordinarily would appreciate, had it accompanied a device that employed generally common-sense design, but found it somewhat annoying given the context. One major flaw (that perhaps there's a way to solve I just haven't found) -- once the alarm hits the desired time, the light has fully escalated, and the sound plays, the light immediately just shuts off -- which is rather annoying, it would be nice to be able to program it to remain on or start a sleep timer (to shut itself off at a more convenient time)
