HOKA ONE ONE Rocket X Review - Running Northwest
The HOKA ONE ONE Rocket X was one of those shoes we saw early 2020 and it sporadically showed up here and there, but we are happy to announce it is now here for the rest of us. We saw the Carbon X from HOKA, but honestly that shoe was a mixed bag as it felt more like a prototype than a final shoe. T...

HOKA ONE ONE Clifton 8 Conclusion. MEAGHAN: The Clifton 8 did not disappoint. HOKA kept all the great qualities of the previous iteration, but changed up the midsole composition (for the better)

Hoka Rocket X
Hello whiteness my friend, I’ve come around to buy shoes again...
Ride (walk/ 10m sprints inside the house) seems very cushioned, I (82kg) can definitely feel the midsole compressing under my feet in a nice way that as of now seems slightly less mushy than the Cliftons, and for me in general a bit more spot on (my Cliftons, at 600km, feel a bit dead and a little draggy to me, this is meant to be a replacement as they slowly will be moved to walking service). The rocker feels like a veeery toned down Carbon X, I loved the familiar feeling, although it is not nearly as much aggressive (and this is a good thing, if feels easier on the legs and does not compel you to run too fast as the Carbon X).

HOKA ONE ONE Clifton 8 Review - Running Northwest
Overall, the HOKA Clifton 8 stays true to the recipe, but we do worry a bit that the subtle tweak to the tongue padding might see a few folks gravitate to other models. It is still a great shoe as always though, incredibly dependable for almost every distance and for any type of run. The Clifton is a great throw-on-and-go shoe and it is always a pretty easy recommendation

Weight

Hoka Rocket X
It has the same horrible sharp arch that the Clifton 8 has, and they are also narrow, just like most hokas. I cant even comprehend where this shoe would fit in a rotation? long run? nah, Rocket X is cheaper, Race?

Comfort

Hoka Rocket X
**Hoka Rocket X -** Feels like a lightweight carbon plated shoe should feel. Definitley the most responsive and snappy shoe of the fleet. Would pull these out for a 5k race / park run when they start back up.
