Hoka Carbon X2 vs Altra Provision 6

Long runs? I have more cushioned, comfortable options. Speed days? Not a chance! I wanted to like these a lot more than I did. As far as carbon racers go, I definitely recommend the Rocket X over these for just about every kind of run.

I would check out Altra Provision or Torin. Altra makes running shoes that are natural foot shaped, light and super comfy and all zero drop.

Ultimately, I sent these back as I found the US 10s too large for me. I found them very chunky walking around the house.

They are light weight and as someone that tends to slide on running shoes the back of the shoes really last without ruining the foam. They are easy to put on and the back tab is designed well. I wish they had more colors of this shoe.

Altras’ are a real crap-shoot regarding quality (soles delaminating) or fit. Their older models were better quality and fit (wide toe-box) and after ordering 7 various models, returning 6, I think it’s time I find a different company.

There is space ALL around. But another great feature is that your heel and arch are snugly cradled so they do not slip or turn. The "Guide Rail" technology is not messing around - if you are an overpronator like me, your ankle and arch are locked in place. I am a preschool teacher and am on my feet 8 or more hours per day, and these shoes get me through the day with no foot pain
